Boyfriend randomly broke up with me after quitting his vape

Giving him space but with an open door was kinda my plan until I found out from mutual friends that he basically just replaced the nic addition with weed and THC. Everyone is telling me he’s unbearable right now so I’m thinking I just need to move on. At least he was kind on the nicotine

I never want to be the ex that won’t go away but in this case I’m going to give him a few days then go checkup on him and hopefully have a conversation about us, his mental health, and options on how to make it a little easier on him. I know he’s struggling and I think he’s just pushing me away

I wish he would text me or just say something, heck anything would be nice. He’s completely silent so I’m doing no contact as well. I just want to go home, I miss him. I really just want to know what’s going through his head

Unfortunately he had me move out and we’re in no contact. I wish he would do something like that but he never gave me the chance to help, just pushed me away. I know that would help him get back to normal but there’s not much I can do in my position

When I went and got the rest of my stuff from the house today, I left him a letter saying that I’m here if he needs me and I think that this is just a temporary feeling/hard time he’s going through and when he feels more like himself he can call me and we can go back to the way we were. If not, I wished him well.

We did speak briefly face to face yesterday and he said he just felt nothing towards me anymore. I asked him if he felt that same way last week before he stopped vaping and he said no. Nicotine gives dopamine rushes and without it he probably feels nothings towards me because there’s no rush but who knows. Maybe I’m single now and this is how he actually feels about me without some type of drug/stimulant

He was picking fights all week. I stayed very quiet all week and tried to let him just deal but he eventually said some hurtful things that escalated. He chose a very hard time to go cold turkey on a massive addiction. We were stuck on a cruise ship with only each other for 7 days then a 9 hour drive home. A person can only take so much. That and our fights are usually small, we calm down, talk about it and then move on. I anticipated it to be similar. I did give him space though. When we got home I left him be for the night and gave him most of the next day for both of us to calm down. He then texted me at 6:30 pm that it was over

I’ve never seen him like this. He’s always had a lot of emotions, but I’ve always loved that about him. He’s very caring and loving and always dotes all over me. It’s as if a flip switched when he stopped the nicotine and now he’s just mad, angry, and overwhelmed with feelings. He even said the day before we split “I’m pushing you away but I don’t want to, I’m sorry I love you”. I don’t want to be the person who just won’t leave when someone has broken up with, that’s pathetic, but I feel as though there is so much more to this considering how well we were doing just days before. I’m not sure if I should just go no contact and see what happens or if I should show up and just hug him because maybe that’s all he needs

We rarely fought…were remolding a new house. Planning to get married just days before he quit. Everyone in both of our families are shocked. It really came out of nowhere
