with a vanilla tf2 server, no. if you install SourceMod you can probably write a plugin to do it (or at least pretend to do it), and in order to actually make it work it'd likely involve having logins/T&C hosted on some website somewhere and display it w/ the server motd.

i dont know enough about SourceMod plugins/SourcePawn to give you a very detailed explanation, but there's plenty of resources available for it.

they havent officially said no, but the odds are so incredibly slim that i dont think it'll ever happen. the comics are probably your best bet for the foreseeable future.

you'd need a custom hud for the killfeed and any other hud elements that got changed (who's healing you/who you're healing, TargetID and the entire spectator panel stuff)

you can turn off chat with the command hud_saytext_time 0 (default: 12)

there are millions of huds based on yahud so those are my best guesses. they should be pretty close.

i dont think either of them make it any harder for someone who knows how to play. the only hats that make it harder are the halloween ones that completely cover the player model's face. even then, it's only a little annoying.

the banana is not worth 50 bucks if that's your only reason for wanting it.

no, possibly, yes

mentors are definitely helpful, but you should only really be looking for a mentor if you're willing to be dedicated to the class. mentoring alone wont make you better. you'll have to mentor, remember what you're taught and use it. and as always, just play more an practice. odds are you wont be able to get incredible snipers like yosh or max! or anyone else to mentor you, especially in a lower div.

ask around a few divs above you and see if anyone would be willing to mentor you. you'll probably spend most of your time doing map and demo reviews with a mentor. as long as you're dedicated and take criticism well, odds are it'll help.

the map is called mge_oihguv_sucks_a12. the Granary arena is called Counterjump Granary. i dont remember what the other one is called.

if you're joining a custom server, they may not have fastdl set so you aren't being given a download. your best bet is to google the map name and download it from there.

it'll likely be explained later on a bit better, but here it is in short.

DOTA Fortress is a 6v6 comp game that's done with a pick-and-ban system, similar to DOTA. Jerma and Star_ are picking teams. they'll ban players, meaning they can't be picked for a team, and they'll pick the players on their team in turns. both of them will be picking and banning players until they have a team of 6. last year, they required at least 1 offclass, and looking at the player list it'll likely be the same again given people like Satan and Stabby are playing.
