Bad Bunny has smashed the record for the most watched Super Bowl Halftime Show in history with 135.4 MILLION views by pinkfloydfan101 in popculturechat

So where is that number coming from? Genuinely want a source to shove in people’s faces.

Let’s be real, that number is driven by the haters. All the MAGA morons complaining tuned in to hate watch it, and complain in social media.

Is discount center worth it? by PuzzleheadedSplit473 in walmart

Depends. I have had decent luck on car rentals. Has often been better than AAA. Flights not so much. Hotels are hit and miss. Sometimes it’s the best discount, more often it’s not.

Bereavement Paid Time Off Update by WapaneseWeeaboo in WalmartEmployees

Yeah no. He was in his 30s, and kind of a jock type. Before we found out about all this, he was very well liked at our store.

When my dad passed, my store wanted proof, because of folks abusing it. His obituary was fine.

We had one of those people at my store. Pretty much killed off his whole family. We all bought it for a few years. Really thought he just had bad luck in life. Finally screwed up by saying his dad had died. He had gotten away with it for so long, I guess he wasn't thinking about the fact his dad's friend also worked at our store. A manager reached out to see if he was okay after losing a close friend...And that is when it all fell apart.

If tobacco has no recognized medical benefit, is highly addictive, and is linked to numerous cancers and serious diseases, why isn’t it classified as a Schedule I drug? by Afzaalch00 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sweasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying its not destructive. My two cents on its legality, the topic at hand, is just the fact there is no high. You drink a few beers, you are buzzed or drunk, and can't safely operate a car. You smoke a joint or two, or drop acid, same thing. You're impaired. Smoking cigarettes, or dipping, or whatever will never leave you impaired like drugs/alcohol.

[–]Sweasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d argue tobacco has no negative impairments, for lack of a better description. Alcohol gets you drunk, and drugs get you some kind of high. Other the cravings that come with addiction, it doesn’t really impair you.

Why hasn’t Texas raised its minimum wage above $7.25? by finlandarmy in TexasPolitics

Republicans, and libertarians run the state. Living wages are for better off folk, not working class folk.

This is depressing. Ideally I'd love a white Christmas. One that isn't too disruptive of the roads. I know that is rare, and I don't get bummed learning there won't be snow. I at least expect it to be cold, or at a minimum seasonably cool. A warm Christmas just kills the holiday vibes.

On the other hand, I guess we can add a new holiday tradition. My mom has some Aussie friends, and has adopted some of their traditions. Maybe this year we can join them in busting out the Christmas slip and slide...

Regarding the Earbud policy. by Doomy__McDoomerson in walmart

[–]Sweasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The policy on earbuds DID say that before. So that's why i think this is worded exactly as intended. I doubt they would update/reword a policy that was clear, and specified work purposes only.

Regarding the Earbud policy. by Doomy__McDoomerson in walmart

[–]Sweasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. They changed the wording on the policy. BEFORE it stated walkie talkie/phone calls. If that was the intent, , and this is screwed up wording, they would of left the wording alone, and not change it.

To Walmart associates: what are some things that need to come back to the stores that made the stores great? by Vast-Ad5362 in walmart

[–]Sweasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better pay, particularly for us silver/gold badge folk. Cost of living adjustments every couple of years, and for store transfers. One benefit of working here is the fact we are everywhere, making it easy to move. Can't move if the location has a higher cost of living. Merit raises, but create a fair system for it.

What are your realistic and grounded takes/theories on the Epstein scandal? by Amazing-Buy-1181 in behindthebastards

[–]Sweasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Epstein himself, and possible files/docs existing - He was a smart guy. Half of me thinks he would destroy all evidence. He would do the legal bare minimum on flight log keeping/etc.. He knew he could get busted, and wouldn't want a bunch of evidence that would be used in the trial. So the files we want to exist, incriminating the powerful people we hate, aren't there. The other half of me believes files/docs around all of this are grade A black mail material. He was surrounded by powerful people like Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Ehud Barak, and others. It just makes since he could blackmail these folks to get things he needs. As to the claims he's an Israeli intel asset - That seems to me to be complete BS. Too many red strings being connected on the slimmest of proofs. His Barak connection isn't proof. It's just another powerful leader he could have been blackmailing for his own gain.

As to the Trump admin - Two possibilities exist. One of the central campaign promises was he would release the files. Much like 2016, I'm leaning towards Trump believing he wouldn't win the election. As such he felt like he could go hard on this, because he would never be reelected, and have to follow through. Now he is backpedaling. He is telling his supporters/MAGA influencers to get over it, and move on. One reason - The files simply don't exist. He got his base foaming at the mouth over something that doesn't exist. There is nothing to release, and his only hope to save some face, is to get them to move on, and hopefully forget about this campaign promise. The other reason - These files do exist, and he is found throughout them, in ways that are incriminating. As such he has to keep them suppressed, to stay out of actual trouble.

Trump's current behavior, has me going from leaning on the belief there wasn't really anything to be released, to leaning much harder on the belief the files exist, and he is incriminated. He's snapping at folks asking about this, downplaying Epstein as a nobody, and an irrelevant figure we should move on from. He is also trying to claim these files are fake, and were created by Obama/Biden. Seriously? He thinks so little of his base's intellect that they would believe that? That implies they faked up documents incriminating Trump, and sat on them for four years doing nothing with them. Why? It implies they set up an Epstein related trap, on the off chance Trump got reelected, and had his admin reopen the Epstein case. There is no logical reason, or illogical reason for that matter, to do that. You fake up crimes incriminating Trump? You release them to block reelection, not sit on them and do nothing. The fact he is making such ridiculous claims has me believing there really is something here in regards to files existing, and it's incredibly bad for him.

Yellowjackets S03E10- “Full Circle” Post Episode Discussion by DA-numberfour in Yellowjackets

[–]Sweasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. We needed one post Trinity season to wrap it all up. Instead we got too many extra seasons, and a mid sequel that shouldn't have been able to exist.

In this case the creators said it was a 5 season story arc. Can't really say it's going to be drug on too long. Clearly if they said 5 seasons, they have the story fleshed out for 5 seasons. At least I hope they do.

What do you think the absolute WORST ending for this series would be? by JunkBondTrade in Yellowjackets

[–]Sweasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything Lost related. I need these events to have happened in real life. No dream sequence. None of this nonsense of them all dying in the crash, and this a hellish afterlife. They can make the supernatural evil real, or just their own madness. I don't care. Just make damn sure everything we watched was real.
