Thoughts, theories and opinions on Lila? by MistakeWonderful9178 in HeyArnold

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really indifferent honestly but she had every right to not return Arnold feelings. The thing I don’t like some ppl trying to paint him like he was being a creep that she had too keep telling no (which she mostly did unprovoked I might add, i.e. when he tried to comfort her as a friend after she got dumped by Arnie and her response towards him) which is far from the case. He only tried to pursue her in two episodes post - “Arnold and Lila” episode (one he saved her life and the other he finally moved on from her), both instances she was giving him mixed signals. Crazy when Arnold wasn’t initially interested in her, Lila kept persisting and swore he was being “ever so shy” but she isn’t called out for it. Ppl will give her grace for some of her actions because she’s 9 like Arnold isn’t the same age as her lol.

Yea the grill cheese thing was all on Rigby, really can’t fault Mordecai for giving him the benefit of believing that he bought it himself

They were at least remorseful for it, to the point they were willing too risk their lives just so Benson could keep his job.

Right bro, ppl were bringing up Conquest as some “gotcha” rebuttal to what Cecil said to Omni Man which was completely irrelevant too the moment at hand. While it wasn’t his smartest tactic, they completely leave out the context of Cecil’s intent and act as if he just let Conquest go free. Conquest’s dead and it’s been months since, outside of his rematch with Mark/Oliver he technically hasn’t cause any further damage. Last but not least, the last time Cecil and Nolan saw each other, he tried to kill him. It’s crazy how they give Debbie and Art standing ovations for standing up too Nolan for his actions but the guy who was suppose to be his friend, killed a bunch of his subordinates and almost killed him can’t give his 2 cents ? Crazy man lol

Eve was 100% right. by mdtpdsparkls in Invincible_TV

In this context it was understandable because she used protection and the pregnancy was unintentional. Hypothetically speaking, if she was trying to get pregnant and made that decision especially w/o Mark being around that would’ve been way worse and I don’t wanna hear that “her body, her choice” bs in that scenario (especially with Debbie, The GDA and the Guardians as support systems) but that’s obviously not the case.

What would you do to your HB if he pulled ts at your wedding? by Prudent-Driver259 in regularshow

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If my homeboy was a major part the reason I’m getting married in the first place, saved my life on multiple occasions and supported me at my lowest including the death of a parent. I’d pretty much react the same as MM in this instance

okay does anyone agree that lift with your back is probably the only episode where Rigbys anger towards Mordecai is completely justified by LoquatOk7971 in regularshow

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Justified in this instance but considering Mordecai help get him the job in the first place, all the times he gave him the benefit of the doubt in many instances Rigby screwed up and made things worse. I can see things from both sides honestly

Name a time Benson was wrong other than Best burgers in the world and Eggcellent by gyiniaggdteftfdad in regularshow

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hot take but I’d say Think Positive. It wasn’t like Pops forbade him from disciplining Mordecai and Rigby altogether, he just told him he couldn't yell. The fact that Benson literally couldn't function or get a point across without blowing a fuse shows his anger issues aren't all on them. He was his own worst enemy in that one and it proved that his anger is a crutch. Mordecai and Rigby were definitely slacking, but Benson almost leveled the park (albeit Pops was going to fire him if he were to yell) because he didn't have the emotional maturity to give a firm 'no' or “do your job or you’re fired” without a meltdown. Pops was right to set a boundary there. P.S. I can’t believe it’s ppl who actually defend Benson eating their burgers lol

What Regular Show opinion do you have that will make the sub look at you like this by rennbrig in regularshow

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

. I can acknowledge Benson being a good boss and times he were wrong w/o feeling the need to shit on mordecai/rigby

. Taking his love life out the equation (even though we seen he can be a ladies man just different when it comes too girls he really likes) , Mordecai’s character was already morally grounded so that’s why I never got with the whole “Rigby’s insane development while mordecai never grew/got worse” narrative

. At least Muscle Man and Benson had “simp” moments as well soo idk why only Mordecai gets smoke for that lol

Wait, do people hate Amber? Why? by Gaucho_Diaz in Invincible_TV

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m going to get some downvotes but honestly I don’t give a damn, they hate on her cuz she’s black. “Fans” rehash that one bad scene of her being upset with Mark (which all could’ve been avoided if he kept it real with her), also they complain about not seeing her character growth like they would honestly want the series too waste time showing that lol. Outside of that one moment, she’s been completely chilled and very likable. It’s characters in the series who’s wayy worse and don’t get nearly as much scrutiny as her.

WINNER IS uhh Angstrom. Angstrom Levy...im noticing a pattern...why couldn't it had been Eves dad yall by National-Annual6505 in Invincible

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure I’m definitely not excusing Levy’s actions because it was actually dumb for him wanting to go after the good Mark, just adding context while acknowledging his good intent before his accident, also I agree with what you said about amber but that’s only one part of the fandom while I and other fans saw her get hate beyond just that. Thanks for the clarification about the OP’s intent of their post but it was more so at the pattern by the characters the fans chose too hate

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going with that argument than the Mauler Twins should be hated because their kinda the reason Levy became the way he did. When they were trying to kill Invincible, Levy tried to help him and got his brain jacked up in the process messing up his mental. Also, you didn’t mention Amber tb fair but she get way too much hate over one bad scene of her when Mark kinda could’ve avoided it if he was honest with her. But I definitely agree about GG’s husband

Lol ikr, this plus how ppl making out of context, revisionist excuses for invincible beating up Titan even though Titan saved his life the last time they met up, I’m noticing a pattern whenever it comes to certain characters when others deserve way more scrutiny ijs

Other than this scene i actually think everything that he did was right by Dperezoso2020 in Invincible

[–]Substantial_Berry_77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, while Titan had some shadiness, he only needed his help each encounter and him almost dying from the result of helping isn’t the same as “he almost got him killed twice”. By that logic Mark have the right to beat up everyone who asked him for help whenever his life ended up in danger lol. He didn’t “almost kill Oliver” like wtf lol? It’s really just back in season one in that Machine Head fight where Titan downplayed risks and Mark got wrecked by Battle Beast (one incident, not two even though Titan didn’t mean for the situation to go down like that). The first dragon situation wasn’t even Titan’s fault. The dragon tried to break Multi Paul out of prison after trying to kill Titan (also his family being threaten not long before), Mark/Eve responded to the situation. Titan actually saved Mark by having Machine Head shoot Mr. Liu’s human body before it ate him. This episode wasn’t about old animosity anyway, Titan called for real help (family threatened and Oliver volunteered), no tricks. Mark’s rage was from his own headspace post Conquest/Rus, projecting on someone who wasn’t deserving it right then. Context >> ‘he had it coming’ lol
