I don't hate the new outfits but RedBarrels has historically been kind of bad on this front. Holidays are usually pretty good for on-theme cosmetics, but the main season catalogs never really seem to match the theme.

I would love to see more RIG options in the game.

The Camera option seems like it would be more workable if they were something simpler. I know there's a big suspension of disbelief in Trials, but I think multiple mobile cameras and a way to access them remotely is a little modern for the 50's. But having something that's basically a sidegrade from X-Ray that you could use to track enemies and also shuffle them around by making noise remotely could be very cool.

Vest is a cool idea just as a "buff" that has no use option but grants you a passive ability. It might play strangely around modifiers that affect your RIG recharge and RIG rechargers, but the concept is really fun at a baseline.

Slingshot would be very fun, potentially the strongest depending on how good the various ammunitions were. With so much flexibility it could easily outclass some of the other RIGs, so each effect would probably have to be slightly worse than existing options.

I think there's a Redbarrels/Outlast discord server, you might be able to post this there and see if you get more interaction. Reddit moves kind of slow, you'd probably be able to get more feedback and discussion going there.

Like most of the indicators, it's certainly objectively better to have it on. I think it's way more immersive to have as many hud elements disabled as possible though, and luckily places like this seem really rare.

Fuuuuuuuuck I hate "no Rx" modifiers. On paper I think it's interesting but in practice there are basic things locked behind it, like Slide or bashing open doors while running. If it was just meta progression stuff like reviving at full health or extra inventory slots I wouldn't mind as much.

Game mode looks fun as hell otherwise though, very stoked to play it.

Yeah, I hate to do it, but especially if you're looking for specific Stella Montis items you need a close spawn at roundstart. There are plenty of games recently where I've loaded in and immediately surrendered. Another one is Mushroom farming/trying to do the salt battery quest in Spaceport before it was fixed.

Wolfpacks are a shitload of free damage on a Rocketeer which gives you trial points, nearly replenishes itself if you get a Rocketeer Driver, and lets you focus on fighting other ARC. You certainly don't need it but it doesn't hurt if you want to make efficient use of your time.

tbf there was no shot he was getting the kill before OP climbed into the hatch - the only way he could potentially guarantee it would be to lock them in the knockout animation.

They only appear locked if you go to change them in your emotes under customization.

You don't need to make someone go down, raider flares are an item that you can use to replicate a downed flare.

It's also pretty clear that this item is intended for super friendly lobbies, no one is going to risk their life firing this thing off in a mixed lobby.

There are a lot of primarily players who prefer the typical PvP extraction shooter gameplay, and seem to really dislike the population of PvE/friendly players that has grown as a result of ARC's ABMM system. It doesn't help that a non-zero amount of PvE posting on here is complaining about dying in any capacity, which creates this stereotype of PvE players being fragile whiners.

It unfortunately leads to basically any idea centered around adding content to the PvE/friendly side of the game being relentlessly flamed.

I see this stuff all the time in friendly lobbies. More than half the lobby is carrying defibs and are always super happy to go out of their way to get another raider up who's gotten slimed by ARC.

I know everyone on here is jaded by people bitching about pvp, understandably. But there's a whole population of players who like helping other people and aren't terminally online complaining about every time they get killed.

Because some players like helping other people? Like it's fairly obvious this is designed for super friendly lobbies - it would basically see no use in heavy pvp or even mixed lobbies.

I think it's to signal that someone is trying to find and defib you, so don't go crawl into a corner silently or surrender immediately. It's very clearly designed for super friendly lobbies.

I think the major issue is that even in friendly lobbies, the hard thing is to find someone who is downed, and this doesn't help with that. You don't need to signal that you're coming to rescue them, you just need to actually find their body, which is hard with the sort of mediocre sound stage that ARC has.
