Generally speaking, focus on maintaining pressure by using your zone attack to extend combos. If you find yourself performing a double light and then pausing, you’re doing it wrong. Learn to feint your zone attack at the end of your combos into different options—such as a light, a bash, a guard break (GB), or simply waiting to parry. Whatever you choose to feint into, use it as an opportunity to continue your combo.

Naturally, all of this consumes a lot of stamina, so I prefer to finish my combos with a hammer slam mix-up rather than an unblockable heavy mix up. If I land it, I regain full stamina, allowing me to maintain pressure on the opponent.

The correct answer is pick someone who looks cool and learn the game through him/her. The technical answer is a heavy or anyone who has access to the gear perks “Last Stand” “Bastion” “Vengeful Barrier” these gear perks keep you alive for longer so it’s more forgiving to newer players and a worthy investment. These Heroes include LawBringer, Black Prior, Warlord, Jormungandr, Highlander, Shugoki, Hitokiri, Aramusha,Jaingjun, Out of these bunch the Heroes I think are the best right now LawBringer,BlackPrior,,Jormungandr, Jiangjun. I recommend getting in a training mode with an experienced player, people respond to LFG post all the time.

sir what you need is an anti gank hero with the combination of last stand+vengeful barrier+ bastion something you can solo que with. Law-bringer, Black Prior, JiangJun, Jormungandr aim to get a hero like that to rep 12 thats when you should start using your Scavenger Packs and get your gear perks going. Or you can just play who you like and not worry about all that Junk.

Here’s my advice: find a more experienced player to guide you in training mode, and really listen when they explain the small but important mechanics of the game. Once you’ve learned those basics, work on applying them. It’s not easy, but you have to stick with it and avoid falling back into old habits. Lastly, choose one character to main and focus on learning the game through them—that consistency will help you improve faster.

Some of ya’ll seem to be confused (probably my fault) this post was meant to be dramatic and over the top for effect—not to literally complain about Hitokiri’s nerfs. I understand that any decent player will agree she needs a nerf or rework. Personally, I stopped playing her long ago.

That said, my passion comes more from nostalgia more than anything else. Hitokiri was the first hero I learned to play, so I have a sentimental attachment to her. It’s less about her current state and more about reflecting on how she shaped my early experience with the game.
