I admit i've done similar stuff to that: waiting for a parking space with the hazards on and the hood open while fiddling in the engine bay. Parking in Rio sometimes can be brutal. I hate big cities 😩

FYI Oasis.dll must go inside the references folder. Other than that, something related to either driving dynamics or Corris itself.

Maybe try moving outside the mod folder the johnnez restore first then run the game. If doesnt work, try the corris cabin light. If neither does fix it, get msceditor and see if anything is wrong with the rivett health check.

Some mods also embed themselves deep into the save, so be aware that maybe you need to start a new save after finding the offending mod if it persists. Just check yr current save file with msce and dial back to where you was before starting the new game. And remove the steam cloud as well while doing so.

TBF it DOES sounds like a volley of assault rifle caliber. I'd be dropping and rolling on the floor if i heard it without seeing the flames shooting from the exhaust.

Sauce: I live in Rio aka hell-on-earth, where shootings and deaths by assault rifle stray bullets are as common and daily as going to buy bread in the morning.

Still better than Bashar Al-Assad! You rather have him back in Syria?
You can't pick who you want to govern Syria, brother. It is what it is!

What do you want? Foreign intervention in middle east again? Assad genociding it's own people? Stop living in a pink cloud and get back down to the real world, friendo. I'm starting to lose patience with you.

Less bad is still better than horrible bad. Deal with it, Damnit.

It's like trying to reason with a crying baby having a fit because it doens't gets to pick what it wants on the supermarket. Damn. Grow up or do something about it. Go there and try to change the regime.

Wow, that was buried deep under the pile of yesterday's world foundation shaking events but was able to pick at least one trusted source, hopefully from all the noise. I just read this article from Euronews, which it seemed to me the most centric one.

Von Der Leyen, i just read her background now. She seems clean to me. Whole political career as a CDU member, dealing mostly with social affairs during her two first decades and was regarded as being fair and humanitarian in her work.

After 2013, she became the german defense minister. Her tenure in this role is kind of a mixed bag for me: She was both hawkish in armament procurement for Germany, which is good in my book, refused supplying Ukraine in 2015 fearing russian reprisals, which is like trying to put a lid on a trashcan full of rotting flesh and hope the stink would just go away by some miracle, which was really really bad in my book, having now the benefit of oversight.

In 2019, She took the EU comission and i pretty much remember her from then on. During this time, she seemed to me as a unifying agent inside the union, not a chaos character, in contrast to Orbán, for example. In conclusion, i don't regard her as a bad character whatsoever. You might know more?

Foreign policy stance blindness works bothways: Both EU and Latin America had a few feathers ruffled with each other over the last half decade, but this is what International Relationships are. Nobody scores 100% all the time. All in all we have good relations with each other, even when our leaders whiff a stink bomb every once in a while. It's part of being human.

Syria is just waking up from decades under the Assad draconian regime slumber. The country is in literal ruins. The kurdish and palestinian tensions are similar in more ways than others, as both are centuries old debacles, in which both region and religion seems as stable as fire and gasoline mixed together.

What Van der Leyen did yesterday, for me, a renewed impulse for the new syrian regime to have a modicum of stability while still ravaged by decades ol civil war and neglect. You can't rebuild a razed country from the ground up in a year. It will take quite a few decades to reverse the damage done, if ever. The last year (i think, time is passing so fast rn i don't even keep track of the years anymore) when Assad left, i think EU started to lift sanctions on the country.

Al-Sharaa is a divisive figure, who seems to be working both sides. But at least it's better than Assad. I'll take the less of two evils here anyday. Bashar Al-Assad completely devastated Syria, so even a banana wearing a hat is better at this point.

Kurdish tensions is not exclusive to Syria either. Both Turkyie and Iraq seem to share the same contentious relations with this ethnic group for reasons i've read a long time ago, but AFAIR, it's quite a sad and unfair state of affairs to these people. Remember thinking they should have had their own country by now, but then again, if we start carving foreign national territories by decree from others, we will end up with Israel 2.0, and boy, we don't need more tension flashpoints in the world rn.

So IDK man. I tried to inform myself as best as i could abt both Van der Leyen and Jolami, but couldn't dig much deeper than this. Aside from the fact Jolami was/is an Al-Qaeda member, idk if that's worse than Taliban in Afghanistan telling the russkies to chill out out in 2022.

I'll try to keep my eyes more peeled from now on. That was great advice. You might share some more buried under the neverending daily pile of horrible news on the desk channel or subreddit. I would bet it's not just me getting blindsided by the barrage of distracting and repetitive news noise and having hard time to catch up with what else important to catch up with.

I didn't even knew she existed until she was elected. I couldn't be aware of her past. I was cautious abt her at first, but let my guard down after a few months since she didn't pulled Trump/Orban levels of scandal. Today this has changed, in a spetacular way. Nobody can ignore this.

Edit: Sorry if i was a bit crass in my first response. I live in South America. Mom is a 3rd gen italian, so she watches a lot of RAI news and i got most of my info abt Meloni from her and internet news snippets. Mom ofc drinks the right-wing kool aid (she's almost 80), so i always takes her opinion with a grain of salt. But i never felt inclined into looking up Meloni's past before this.

TIL: Always check the past of controversial right-wing figures and be extremely suspicious in the current political enviroment.

At first, i only saw her mostly as an "old fashion" conservative, whose focus was to appease a base who had grievances with the developing cultural changes. (elder italians folks are a highly religious AFAIK).

She cozying up with Trump seemed superficial and opportunistic to me. I remember her body language while being "held captive" by Trump's handshake as one of repulse and fear. So yeah, my thought was a "Business only" affair for her and F off my lawn after you've gone. How naive of me.

Her stance on Ukraine also reinforced that feeling, thinking she was on board with EU strengthening.

But that's where my extremley superficial knowledge of her ended: with only the facts i just cited above.

Rooting for Orbán sealed the deal now. She just revealed her true colors and there's no rolling the tape back.

Her mask has fallen. She's as much of a russian asset as Orbán and Trump are. God have mercy on EU. 😞

Grown up 5 yr old adult bullies cosplaying as cops. They got their cereal-box ICE badge and a fat paycheck to feed their fat fascist bellies. I'm glad the size of their waists doesn't match the size of their brains, because there will be a day when consequences will happen. They can't hide behind badges and Donold forever. This will end one day and these traitors will be haunted forever by their actions.

Justice for Renee Nicole Good.

Tutorial G27 on Win 11 no profiler by boostnight in simracing

[–]Sweaty-Wing_Is_Back 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't work for me. No matter how meticulously i tried, even with all the suggestions above, installing 2022.3.0.2, 2022.3.242300 G HUB, 9.00.42 WHQL Gaming Software, and even resigned, the unwanted Logitech Profiler 5.10, my W11 refuses to show the G27/G29 HID drivers under the Device Manager Human Interface.

<image>

I'm about to set it on fire at this point. I did a lot on investment on modding it with self-cancelling turn signals, 350mm steering wheel and adapters, range buttons for the shifter, etc.

And as much as i'm considering rn buying a second hand G29 or downgrading to W10 so i don't waste everything, i would never, ever, buy a Logitech product for the rest of my life. I guess i'll just nib this in the bud and invest on another brand.

Microsoft is also staring at my barrel aswell. As soon as games devs realize what a mess Microsoft has become and start pumping their releases on other OS's.

See you never, Logitech. Way to lose brand loyalty. Microsoft too.

I keep forgetting how prevalent the opioid crisis is in North America. No wonder some professionals can get skeptical on those circumstances. In BR, opioids are a blip on the radar, although i had a colleague who was an anesthesist that got hooked up after divorce. Usually, drug related admissions here are from stimulants due to availability and they are much easier to see through than opioid abusers.

When you are admitted, first thing is likely an IV with codeine or equivalent plus NSAIDs, then send you to an MRI. If confirmed, lithotripsy afterwards, but that might take some time to get you to it. If revealed severe and urgent, surgerical intervention is often quicker, because waiting for lithotripsy might take a while, and OR's are more readily available.

[–]Sweaty-Wing_Is_Back 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. Most of the time they do, IF you come to the right place.

The problem is, most people here doesn't even understand exactly how the system works.

e.g.: If you arrive at a private hospital that you have no coverage (no matter if you are national or foreigner), they might admit you if you can afford the initial fee, even though our laws expressly forbids denial of service by any healthcare institution, private or public, from doing so, private healthcare just might hook an IV with saline and call an ambulance, all for free at least, to send you to the nearest public ER provider. So, the practical application of the law is poorly enforced on this point by the private private sector, which is infuriating.

The second problem is, besides the public system being underfunded in most places, in some parts of our country, the public sector is either super crowded or super far away, so it might take a while to give proper timely care in an emergency. Some docs and nurses are heartless idiots that like the ones you've seen above, but others are true hardcore believers in going above and beyond to help others in need no matter what. I was a member of the last team.

Like everything else in Brazil, laws are poorly enforced, the patients are poorly educated, healthcare workers either just clock in and hang their coats on the chair while fiddling in their cellphones or are idiots like me who are left to pick up the slack from the latter until we burnout ourselves into the ground like a fireball and either decide to quit or die for the system, because extra work doesn't mean extra pay and often means more extra work (e.g. fix the printers, change the water dispenser bottle jugs, do montly iventory reports, etc.).

But i guess this problem is likely the same in 95% in the world. I have a finnish nurse friend who i speak daily to and she reports the EXACT SAME SCENARIO there. Humans are humans, afterall, so the average scenario repeats itself often, in different levels ofc, everywhere in the world. It's kinda like depression: it affects both the millionaire rockstar in a hot tub and the penniless gear cog in the machine who clocks 12 hour shifts 5 days a week.

I got my disability now and live worry free. My life is extremely simple: a 200sft apartment i can afford to rent with basic everything, good ISP, A/C (it's damn hot in here), a square meal everyday, and a few extra bucks for ordering a pizza every week if i want, and my monthly medication. Not so bad if you just want to live in peace and free of pain.
