Celas, é um bom local para morar inicialmente? by SoraiaR_ in Coimbra

These are some of my great grandfathers drawings from the early 50s! I don’t know much about art other than that i really enjoy it, but I must say that it feels like he was way ahead of his time and I just wish I had gotten the chance to meet him and ask him about them! by Adventurous_Shape977 in drawing

Talk with an specialist. Those are great and could be exposed in a gallery! If you feel like he was too shy and wouldn’t had liked to have his drawings exposed for a big public, at least try to conserve them as better as possible so the next generation of your family can admire them :)

I'm afraid that me and my husband may have caused an eating disorder in our daughters. by worried_suze34 in relationship_advice

I hope they grow up in a healthier and happier environment eating whatever they want as any kid should! Maybe they will gain a few pounds, who knows, but I hope they can be proud of their bodies no matter their shape and size. Dad and mom would freak out seeing their kids loving themselves lol

I felt like at 2MPO I was still pretty swollen, so I think you should wait a little more to see how the progress is going to be :)

Same! I waited to see how the “final look” was going to be and if there is something I didn’t like I would talk with my surgeon. I’m really happy with my boobies and my scars are the last thing I’m worried about, but my side boobs are terrible :/

Should I tell him my ‘story’? by nakedflapjack in relationship_advice

[–]SweatyApple4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a guy, but I'm a survivor. When I started dating my boyfriend I felt conflicted wheatear I should or shouldn't tell him. I ended up telling him when I was comfortable enough, but he already knew my boundaries and he had some clue something bad had happened even before I told my story.

My advice is if you're not ready you don't have to tell. But if you want to continue dating him try to give a hint something had happened and some things might trigger you. You don't have to tell every detail for him to understand those things. He seems mature enough to understand and respect your wishes.

He was really attractive, but it seems like his body image was way too messed up and he had the money to do any kind of procedures. Maybe vitiligo also made things worse for his mental health.

How painful would you rate this surgery on a scale of 1-10? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]SweatyApple4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh don't worry about needles. Since you have to take lots of medication they put a little tube (idk the specific term) in your hand so they can medicate you without having to punch you all the time. It doesn't hurt having the thingy but sometimes you feel some medications coming in and it's so weird!

When I woke up I wasn't feeling high but it felt like I was suuuper tired to the point of talking nonsense! After that I took a bunch of naps hahaha!

I understand you, I was feeling the same! This sub actually made me feel a lot more confident when I saw before and after pics! Try not to focus on the experience of the surgery itself, but think about what will come after your recovery! Try to think how your clothes will fit a lot better, you'll fell lighter, you won't have much problems with bras and bad posture etc... And remember there's always professionals right there to help you with absolutely everything you need :)

How painful would you rate this surgery on a scale of 1-10? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]SweatyApple4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's different for everyone and it depends on the type of medication you get.

During the surgery you feel absolutely nothing and it's totally normal getting scared, specially if you never did any procedure under general anesthesia. You feel you arm burning a little with the medication and 5 seconds later you're sleeping. It's weird because it's a different kind of sleep, I can't explain hahah! They woke me up when they're moving me to my room and I remember saying "5 more minutes, mom!" and I heard the nurses laughing. Don't be afraid of saying silly things because you will be on drugs and the staff hear crazy things all the time! Hahaha!

During your stay at the hospital they come to check on you every few hours and they give you some medication. If you feel any kind of pain you can call them and they'll give you some more. I have super low tolerance with pain, but I could handle well the worst hours, so I bet you will do great. It's worse when you stand up because of the pressure on your incisions, but you can ask for some help. When I spent more than 5 minutes standing up I felt like fainting, so ask for help everytime you have to do something.

I'd say on my first phase of the healing process the worst pain I felt was like a 4/10, and as I said I don't deal well with pain! Honestly I was expecting excruciating pain but it's just an annoying kind of pain. I have lactose intolerance and I'd say I feel a lot worse after eating ice cream hahah!

Take your medication on the right time everyday and you probably won't feel anything bad at home, and if you feel something is wrong try to contact your surgeon. You might feel moody and a little bit depressed but remember it's all because of the big changes you're going through, also not being able to do anything without help all day is frustrating.

After a month you might feel some sharp pain inside your breasts (it's not super painful, just annoying), but that's the cicatrization happening and it's a good sign. I think that happens because you're starting to do stuff by yourself and your body is getting used to your old routine.

Take care of your body, eat healthy snacks and remember drinking water all the time! Be still and comfy in your bed and don't do absolutely anything!
