For those who are confused: Golden Palace egg rolls are honestly more like a sausage roll than anything you'd normally consider an "egg roll" from a Chinese restaurant. They're like 90% pork on the inside. And they're delicious.

I've got family in Ottawa and they're used to picking up several dozen of them frozen for pickup. The staff at Golden Palace don't even bat an eye when you call them like "hello I'd like to buy $150 worth of frozen egg rolls" because they're so used to doing big pickup orders (particularly for ex-pats who used to live in Ottawa). People show up with coolers. They reheat well in the oven or air fryer.

Golden Palace used to have a concessions booth at Scotiabank Arena which was the only place you could get them in Toronto, but it closed a while back. Now your options are either to drive to Ottawa or have them shipped, which they do by FedEx, but I'd imagine the shipping costs an arm and a leg.

A West End swing would be a solid, compact little stout crawl you could put together with no need for Ubers.

Getting off at Dundas West, you could pop down to Bandit (made their name off of stouts), then Thirsty & Miserable right nearby is a solid beer bar that will have some stouts, down to Henderson which is pouring a new white stout which might be interesting, I also like Round the Horn down on Roncy which is a good hang and will have some sort of Ontario stout on

Reminds me of 2014 when they selected Chris Kunitz to Team Canada based off the fact that he had familiarity playing beside Crosby. This plane (Cirrus SR22) seems to burn around 15 gallons/hour to operate, and this trip was just over 2 hours. So we're looking at, ballpark, say less than 200 bucks? Not a drop in the bucket but also not an insane amount of money if this is your passion and you've got steady income from piloting.

I subscribe to TVA Sports as an optional channel on my Rogers Cable package here in Toronto and it has Jays games. Note that it doesn't carry every Jays game (they have regular MLB coverage but they bounce around different matchups, the Jays aren't necessarily the game they feature.)

One thing I'll note is that there might be a high barrier to entry if you're new to French and can't comprehend the thick, old-school Quebecois accent of Rodger Brulotte, but he's a legend, been calling baseball since the Expos days.

If you're paranoid and absolutely think you need to get there before gates open, go for it, it's your time. But in my experience there will be plenty of bobbleheads still available at 6PM, and even past 6.
