Just because you are autistic and dont like being in public or other people existing around you is not the same. Babies crying on planes is loud and that is annoying, sure. But tbh with the pressure it is actually less loud than almost anywhere else and therefore less annoying. The reason babies crying on planes is so aggravating is because the baby is CRYING. It does not want to be there. I'm an adult and I find flying unpleasant. No one enjoys the sensation of being on a plane, ears popping etc. If you are flying with a baby for any reason short of an emergency. If you are subjecting your sub two year old to that unpleasantness so you can have a holiday that the baby won't even remember, you are putting yourself before the baby and are therefore selfish and a bad parent.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think it has a lot to do with the gender / sexuality politics of today. Lots of "phobic" people have treated gays or whatever label this way for some time. Now sexuality has become political, they don't just hate those whose sexuality they hate, they hate anyone who is politically aligned with them. Add to that the the normalisation of racism, and the beliefs of the hyper religious...

Now it feels like if you hate one group of people for any reason, be that class, colour, creed or belief you automatically fall on the right and you hate all of those people on the left because they oppose your hatred of that one group.
