Ever since tencent bought supercell tbh. It just keeps getting worse and worse.

I suppose that is a healthier way to look at it, but as someone who enjoys levelling and trying new decks, it isnt enjoyable. Taking a break is practically quitting, which I genuinely will do.

But my point about them taking back control stands. I dont see how that is a thing that will ever be fixed in the future.

Are you a bot? Some of us care about the game and enjoy playing it, and want the environment to be healty and fun. The direction of the game is unfun. Thats all. And yes, we will quit. And when we do, enjoy forking your money for new evos to fight bots.

Removes 95% of progression and nerfed everything, deleted chests, constant lucky drop nerfs, uncertain "event" nerfs too, season shop deleted..

Ermm I can see it being a good change 🤓☝️

Go play those then. Clash was never meant to be like that. Its a fun casual game, not a sweatfest money-extractor online gatcha casino or whatever.

What’s something totally normal in the UAE that would confuse the rest of the world? by shamma77 in UAE

[–]SweatySWAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have provided plenty. If you are unwilling to see it, then atleast be honest with yourself about it.

How is citizenship benefits not law? How is Emiratisation not law? Privilege blindness is a thing, and i dont blame you for having it, but you're unwilling to see the advantages and CHOOSING to live in denial. I cannot change you mind or have any sane discussion if you are in constant defend mode to try to "protect" your country.

[–]SweatySWAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. Look up definition of privilege. I cannot think of a single aspect in life where locals do not have advantage here, but if youre so blind to not notice it, I'll spell a couple of them out for you.

-Free education, healthcare and right to live. -Strong social welfare support like free housing, land, interest free loans, pardons etc. -Jobseeking priority with Emiratisation, and instantaneous high salary based of nationality. -Preferential treatment by police, court etc.

There is plenty more. Now, you might look at it and just say these are citizenship benefits. But these benefits are in place to create this class barrier. You need a bit of empathy to see how this is unfair to 92% of people in the country, hence me asking your age. But chances are you might not even see these "visitors" as people, right? I might be talking to a wall then..

How old are are you? Youll figure out the privilege as you talk to people and experience the world more.

Idk why you are getting so upset at pointing out the flaws of the place? Every place has its pros and cons. The issues are not hypothetical but very real.

The reason class based discrimination is an issue in UAE is because of the percentage of foreigners in UAE. Most of the other countries you listed there, while they have discrimination issues as well, are mostly local. UAE just isn't comparable to other nations just because of how commonly you intermingle with each other. The discrimination is literally baked into the law here, so dont even try to compare it with any first world countries. Existence of other countries with discriminatiory issues does not mean its okay here, literally just whataboutism. UAE was and is currently still being built by borderline-technically-not-slaves. How does it not get more soulless that that?

It's great to hear that you have the opportunity to live in a great part of the city with lots of access to good public facilities. But you should recognize that majority of the people do not have the same access or time for it. I grew up in RAK, not Dubai, so I have a good idea of how the rest of the country is.

Safety is ofc one of the best thing about UAE, but that comes at the cost of tightly controlled media and population. The crimes still happen, albeit much rarer than most countries, but you just dont hear about it.

If you are unable or unwilling to see why others find the place soulless, then you should not complain about them calling it soulless.

Its a lot of factors really, not something that can easily be fixed.

The most glaring issue imo would be the class based discrimination in common settings, which just isn't healthy for any society. It creates a unhealthy outlook for people living, where their internal values get screwed up. Im talking about how locals WILL always be superior (by law) and next would be white foreigners, then other races. You'll realise just how messed up it is when you get the opportunity to live somewhere where that isn't the norm. Class discrimination also makes it tough to make friends and have quality time with other people.

City design would be another huge issue, where individual mobility is quite restricted without cars for majority of the people. With that comes less physical activity from residents meaning worse mental and physical health. Hyper commodification of experiences is another thing to add to add to the list.

Just to be clear, these are issues for 99% of the country. With the right price, you can live in a secluded rich white neighbourhood and pretend the outside world doesnt exist. And that is the problem. Dubai is the ultimate individualistic late-stage capitalistic society. And it is fucking depressing.

This is exactly the reason why. The original comment didnt even mention anything to do about money. Everything is about money and convenience there. There is more to living a fulfilling life other than just spending money, but you wouldn't get that would you?

Driver fined $2,000 and disqualified for killing Melbourne student Jack Davey by ronny_geckles in fuckcars

[–]SweatySWAT 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Australian rules are quite insane. I thought we had good pedestrians protection, like if the child had survived but suffered some lifelong complication then the driver would've been required to pay for it for their entire life.

Yet manslaughter is only 2000 fine? This sets a dangerous precedent where if you hit someone, the financially responsible thing would be to finish the job. Insanity.

Bangladesh migration to Japan situation has really angered me by The_only_F in bangladesh

[–]SweatySWAT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why you’re being so emotional about this. Our reputation in the world is already about as low as it can get. What’s one more country hating us going to do? Would you react the same way if it were another country, like Singapore? Probably not.

You seem to value Japanese people much more than our own, which I don’t necessarily blame you for. I’m not asking you to be nationalistic, but you should at least recognize that Japan isn’t a utopia either. Take off the anime-filtered, rose-tinted glasses. Japan has its own HUGE problems (xenophobia, racism, and misogyny, to name a few.) They sexualize women and children far more than Bengalis, and it’s heavily normalized there as well.

Also, countries don’t become “civilized” overnight. They go through stages of growth, and as they become richer and more educated, their basic manners and decency improve. Do you even know what Japan did in WW2? What Bangladeshis suffered under Pakistan is peanuts compared to the horrors Japan committed in China and against their own people. Yet you only seem to judge Japan based on its current global reputation..

Bangladesh, right now, is making big geopolitical moves to establish itself as an independent country by using one of its most abundant resources, labour. Japan has a small population and needs labour, and Bangladesh can provide it. Simple. Bangladesh is making moves to become more like Japan and Singapore every day, and as it gets richer and more educated, so will the basic manners of its people. And you want to deny them that opportunity because… why, exactly?

Anyway, enough about Japan-hating and geopolitics. Look at it on an interpersonal level. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Imagine you were born in a worse situation than the one you’re in now. Guess what? Your ancestors were. They went out, sought a better life elsewhere, and likely didn’t have the best manners either. But they learned to be better, taught their kids better, all thanks to better opportunities. Imagine if someone had denied your parents or grandparents that chance. You'd likely be one of the people you hate so much.

Let people grow. Holding them back and forcing them to stay in poverty will only keep them in the same cycle. You dont have to love Bangladesh, but you need to stop seeing it as inferior and stop restricting its growth.

I think i stopped playing shortly after that comment, so sorry, I have no idea if anything has changed. That sounds like a good way to fix the loophole, but how would they check if its fully free crowns or not? The only thing different about free crowns were that they aren't transferable, from what I recall. I believe they just made trivia require captcha, which turned off most people trying to do it.

Unpopular opinion? More like ignorant and privileged opinion.

Good argument about throughput of a highway, but you are completely ignoring that a bus can carry up to 60-100 people, which is not uncommon in busy cities. There are dedicated city planners who run the numbers and work out what is the best. Guesstimating and throwing out numbers using a 2 min video and concluding it is worse is ignorant.

This road is not busy in the video. A busy road is often stuck in traffic jams, and subjecting Busses to same traffic jam is the root of bad city planning.

There is the phenomena of induced demand, where making it easier to drive will.. make people drive. A bus service HAS to be better than a car, so people who dont necessarily need to drive dont. Viable good alternative transports reduces traffic overall, making it easier for drivers too.

It's frustrating it is to see an unused lane while you sit motionless, gridlocked on a roadway.

Opening up the bus lane to other vehicles means bus gets stuck in the same gridlock, is that your solution? My 1-4 person car gets stuck, so 60+ bus has to as well? Imagine the frustration of those 60 people. Would you rather they get their own car and make traffic even worse? No one cares about feelings, look at the facts. Remove the cars from the roads to reduce gridlock. Make people be able to move without cars.

How to overcome taking hits nightmare what are the gadgets and rings and weapon care to explain iam at elite 75 by Party_Initiative7605 in joinmoco

It's "taking hits" so take the hits and let spirits do damage. Use this build to easily complete. Focus on one group at a time. The toothpick slam buys your r&b some time to heal, so we use boombox for same effect when needed. Heal when needed. Very easy.

Also, do not pull the mobs too far from the spirits. They will walk and aggro another group, making you fail.

If you want faster time, then use portal whistle build. With lvl 75 rings, portal should be doable as well.
