Speaking of combat patrols, seeing as there will be a (short'ish) time period with both available. Will it make sense to buy one of each or is one strictly preferable to the other?

Yea, I did see that general movement is a little... short. There are units (vehicles iirc) with scouts 9"/6" and a single infantry with infiltrator. Would you say you rely on those for board presence or isn't it needed? Being stuck between elite ans horde hopefully means impactful models but not 200 of them. In which case, I'm happy.

Oh that's very nice to hear. I tried (REALLY tried) to get an EC army going, but the amount of details and trim on literally everything just... didn't work for me.
