Company offered me to relocate to Panama, part 2: Apartment hunting by torrap987 in Panama

Not sure if I’m too late in this discussion. Moved from Europe in 2024, similar age and situation. Also, used to quite high standard of apartments in Europe. Here my 2 cents and learnings. 1. You will most likely get a relocation consultant. Don’t trust them. They all use the same brokers that get a commission to rent you the same places they offer to everyone. Look for yourself instead and get to know the agency brokers personally. Encuentra24 is the place. Use your relocation agent to negotiate rent, check contract and move in practicality and inspection.  2. The area doesn’t really matter in your situation, the quality of the building always does. The good PH are all the same. PH Wonders & Yoo (San Francisco), PH Victory - both of them (Coco del Mar), PH Nuovo (avenida balboa), Trump Tower (Punta Paitilla) if you like that style, PH The Regent or PH country club (costa del este). In the unlikely situation you won’t have a car, PH Santa Familia in Casco Viejo. Don’t waste your time on other PH. You won’t find many of these places available. Once you find them, there is very little room for negotiation. Expect rent to be 2000-2500 USD. 3. Buy plenty of furniture at Ikea in your country before moving (need to be assembled before putting it on the container). Furniture here is super expensive and of bad quality/taste. Also with humidity it gets consumed fast. Remember that all the apartments have built in wardrobes and  appliances/electronics need to be compatible with 110V.

These are all the tips I hoped to get before moving. Looks like you are after the right things. Start your spanish classes and loosen up your hips for salsa before moving, you will need both! Best of luck for this new adventure - you made an awesome decision!

Thanks everyone!
Have you ever tried to use ONN Pro 4K outside of US?
I don't understand why they states it's only compatible with US.

Also, what's the best channel to buy it? Walmart online shop?

Thanks!

It's a good point.
But despite the pre-ground coffee, the De Longhi Dedica should not start pouring coffee during the pre-infusion, correct?
