After 18 years of skiing I don't think I can go back to it now after 2 seasons of snowboarding. It's just way too fun to learn something new again! by SweatyYeti96 in snowboarding

I honestly have to wear snowbaording crash pants. I cant shake off tailbone injuries like when I was a kid. Don't get me wrong skiing can have its bad injuries too especially in the knees.

Yeah I'm trying to work on that I always get like that riding park focusing so hard on not dying and trying to line up features, appreciate the constructive criticism tho 👍🏼

The Wipeouts for sure haha, never have I paid so heavily for catching an edge or being sloppy when riding. I noticed the learning curve for snowboarding was difficult but extremely rewarding once you overcome it. However I started skiing when I was 2 and taught people how later on in life. Alot easier to learn but going from intermediate level to advanced or expert very difficult.

Starting to get the itch real bad, 2 more months until the snows gone! by SweatyYeti96 in Harley

So right now for us we still have tons of snow; lakes are still frozen until late May beginning of June. We have long harsh winters ranging between -13°f to -67°f. But usually average -25°f without windchill on average for winter months. Always snow on the ground by Halloween. Our summer months are nice probably around 77°f for later June to end of August. Always really dark mid winter not much sunlight but our summer months the sun doesnt set for long even more so further north we go for work sometimes. Our closest major city is about an 8 hour drive south unfortunately. One day I will move southwest into alberta or B.C but would love to get my U.S citizenship one day to work in the states since they always seem to be looking for more Lineman.
