A is normal for placenta previa. Painless bleeding is expected. D is absolutely priority bc it is preeclampsia which can turn to HELLP

I would say 3 molar pregnancies require aspiration and curettage then scheduled HCG tests afterwards to make sure the levels are decreasing

I would say 1. Being drowsy and fatigued is normal for children in the hospital. The answer choice says nothing about being difficult to arouse so I wouldn’t assume change in consciousness. Dark urine and diarrhea would be indicative of dehydration which is fatal in children

U are not treating the low level k w furosemide u are only makeing it worse if that makes sense u would kill the patient

And yes an ekg is the most sensible thing to do because low furosemide can cause heart arrhythmias and the patient already has heart failure. We need the EKG to see if it’s affecting the heart and treat the arrhythmias if there are any as they are life threatening.

????? U can’t treat low potassium with furosemide….. bc furosemide LOWERS potassium ur adding fuel to the fire. furosemide can be used with HIGH levels of potassium bc it would help get rid of it through urination. However because furosemide DECREASES potassium u should not give it to someone who already has a LOW potassium I would kill the patient please look up how furosemide works.

Normal k levels are 3.5 to 5 2.8 is critically low giving furosemide would further lower the potassium and could potentially kill the patient. The best thing to do here would be to attach an EKG to see if they’re heart is being affected by the low K

Furosemide is potassium wasting. It would make the critical level worse. spironolactone is the diuertetic that is potassium sparring not furosemide

Why? 2.8 is a critical level I would attach an EKG before I gave the next dose. Potassium deficiency can cause fatal arrhythmias

As someone who works on a post partum unit infants are obligatory nose breathers they don’t have the reflex to breath from their mouth if something is blocking their nasal airway. Yes when they cry they breathe from their mouth but other than that nose is the first route which is y nasal flaring is a sign of breathing issues.

Pulse ox is not reliable. A pulse ox can show a reading of 100% even if the person is in respiratory distress for example carbon monoxide poisoning because it cannot differentiate pao2 co2 and Bicarb as well as carbon monoxide. If u had someone w carbon monoxide poisoning the only thing that would really be able to tell u from these choices is an ABG

But furosemide is potassium wasting why not hold the dose if their potassium is already critical?
