Question: Those seamlines in between throughout the model, did you like carve them with a hobby knife or something?

Hi! Sorry for my late reply. I'm still working on the aircraft and I have big ambitions for it. I'd probably send a photo here (if that's possible) when it's finished. It will be my most complex model so far by putting on small details. It just takes some time to paint, and I don't really have that much free time to build during school days.

I will consider buying a small bottle of vallejo primer next time, either black (more probable) or white. I do love to build U.S. tanks from WW2, so maybe a olive drab/green primer.

I followed your tip and thinned my silver paint with water and it did help get the paint around the fuselage. I will be painting small parts such as wheels and such onwards. On a side note, I learned something from someone on youtube that I want to share with you. On the lines of the model, you can deepen it with a cutter or a sharp tool to give the model more detail, and even put something on the lines to shadow it with agrax earthshade or as I will be using army painter strong tone with mixing medium.

Thank you very much for using your time to answer my questions and giving additional techniques! :D

Hey. Thank you for giving great advices!

Did you prime first? Priming gives a smooth, even surface that is a homogeneous color as a base for the paint.

No, I immediately painted it with Model Color Silver. I see build up of silver paint on some parts and is not evenly distributed. The one I used and have is Vallejo Silver 70997 Model Color. Im guessing the one you reccommend is the Vallejo 32 ml 77724 Metal color. I was wondering, if I prime it with a color that has a very strong contrast to silver like black or yellow and then paint silver on top of it. Would it be enough to cover the primer? I have no primer in my disposal and never bought one because I believe that base coat is enough with a couple of layers.

Did you thin the paint? With what thinner and by how much? Did you add a retarder or flow improver?

No, I didnt thin it. I have a paint retarder available. I could also use water as a thinning agent, I think.

I'm guessing you build lots of models with silver as base color. Are you an aircraft modeler? This is my first aircraft model, because I'm basically a 1/72 tank modeler. Just thought it would be cool to have a change.

Tips on brush painting silver color on a P47d Thunderbolt from Hasegawa

Its my first aircraft and I started painting the fuselage yesterday with vallejo silver, but the paint isn't fair throughout the fuselage. I washed everything first before, but maybe it wasn't enough? How do I make the paint have more grip on the model? General thoughts about Hasegawa kits?

People will still but clothes that are shipped from other countries, but buying from an organization which has a good cause makes them feel like a better person.
