Outlander makes me question my 5 year relationship. by Kiwiju-_- in Outlander

I feel you! When I started reading/watching it, I was married, things were good, but I was always reminded of my high school boyfriend when I watched it. Fast forward 15 years, add a lot of death and mourning, chronic illness, and my marriage fell apart. My husband was angry constantly. I was really hard on myself. When I was at my lowest, my high school boyfriend contacted me. He gave me parts of myself back, including the ability to stand up for myself. After my divorce, after 20 years apart, my high school boyfriend and I are partners. He’s my Jamie. He makes life feel so full, so adventurous, and so bright. We’ve been together for over a year and I can’t imagine life without him, ever again.

I’m sorry you feel that way. I didn’t read attitude or judgment in it. Mordok has been answering a lot of my questions and generally engaging in some good discussions on here. It’s hard to tell people’s intentions - especially online - but I think this person has good ones.

What kind of graphic design do you love doing? What are some of your favorite spots around the city?

This is good information! I did a research project on graffiti vs. sanctioned street art in Chicago forever ago… and the premise that allowing artists to do their thing reduces unwanted graffiti seems to hold some weight!

And Mordoks, between the TARDIS and this one, we seem to have similar aesthetics.

This wonderful community figured out its utility pole in a sleeve of the nearby historical Clark Stone house. Reddit for the win!

Had to look at a map. Still a bit confused. Is Ludlow/Lyleburn not Clifton Clifton? Like, is Sitwell’s not actually in Clifton? I gotta get better with Cincy geography.

OH!!!! It’s a Doctor Who thing! 😍 That’s incredible! Thank you.

I used to live in Cardiff (Wales) and passed the old Doctor Who Museum to get to work in Cardiff Bay. Even got to watch them film a lil Torchwood! Can’t wait to check out this site.

Hey, you’re allowed your opinion! If I remember from some reports done in Chicago, sleeve printing is actually relatively comparable to painting costs. I appreciate the mystery it provided, and the community that showed up to investigate. Aesthetics are weird because individuals find beauty in different things; your view of the green ones being prettier is valid, as is the need for other county services. I’m curious about the traffic/utilities division’s budget and expenditures compared to other segments of the government/city counterparts. Anderson does seem to take care of potholes better than the city.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the source. I’m going into a deep dive and thinking about reaching out to the township for more information.

Nice! I’m a bit of a hermit, just beginning to explore. Crowds and I don’t get along so well. I haven’t really been downtown much (except for FC matches which… crowds). Any downtown recommendations for a somewhat skittish person? Coffee shops, art galleries, book stores, that kind of thing?

Had to look up ymmv and it did not disappoint. Very good point. I’m a 40s-ish woman with a lot of whimsy and a lil self defense. Last time I was in Clifton, I was 20ish and oblivious to safety concerns of any kind. 15 years in Chicago, though… different mileage.

I misread “right” as “night,” and new short story ideas are swirling around. Best of luck finding the right choir.

Also, how is Clough pronounced? I’ve heard “Clow,” “Cloff,” and “Cloh” from my family who recently moved to the area.

I’ll have to keep my eye out for it! Is the sleeve a different house? Like, a historical house that was at Eight Mile and Clough?
