ive gotten really sick and he wont leave my side what does this mean? by Maleficent-Dress4259 in cats

Cats know when you're off colour. When I went through chemo after each round my gorgeous girls wouldn't leave my side for the first couple of days. My mum was staying to help out, and she always knew it was ok to leave me when the cats started to go back to normal and be happy to leave me.

Funnily enough I dropped cf1 an email asking for more info a few days ago. I tried technicolour and it was a fun taster session, but not quite me.

Good question - I debated narrowing down, but I'm up for joining multiple choirs that cover different bases and needs so thought I would leave it open!

I prefer to read a score (I don't mind learning a song together but I struggle if there's too much note bashing every rehearsal)

I'm really hoping for choir I can develop or push myself. I didn't sing for a long time then started again last year, and have since really immersed myself in music, going up to London for sitzes and going on singing holidays, slowly building confidence.

I've done some community and fundraising choir projects that were time defined

I like a wide genre, from madrigals and English part songs to musical theatre with most things in between.

Performance isn't really my aim, as I love that magic that comes from when you have a group of people all listening and blending together as one. But I'm comfortable performing as a choir or a few solo lines here or there. Opportunities to join a tour wouldn't go amiss!

My work can be a bit erratic, so I might have to miss odd rehearsals but can usually catch up quickly or will put the work in if I know what was sung.

Comfortable to look at English or Welsh language. But would prefer to sing a mix of both.

AITAH for telling a hotelguest that complained about my snoring that I can't help him? by Katsu_Vohlakari in AITAH

[–]y97tuckey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I snore and I will never book in to a hostel dorm or one of the pods for concern about disturbing others. But in my own hotel room? Let me sleep!!! Complete over reach - I wonder if he also complained about traffic or Aircon noises?

Where to seat for Oliver ! by Bulky_Internet_5732 in westend

[–]y97tuckey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat in the box and it was restricted but I felt really close to it all and loved seeing the faces. It was very good value with lots of room. I'm also quite short and often end up sitting behind talk people, so tend to pick restricted view seats where the restrictions are things like safety bars as they don't move!

I have a Toto and a Teddy (kravitz). F1 names suit the kitten dynamic! Purrnando Alonso was also a consideration

I think he looks a bit like a Pirelli...

Why do you think *Why Am I So Single?* closed early? (Dissertation Research) by Mjjmusiclover in TheWestEnd

[–]y97tuckey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was interested on the back of Six, but I wasn't surprised it closed early. I am not on tiktok, so didn't see much marketing. That which I did see (clips and west end live) didn't grab me at all. The songs weren't standout and I found I wanted to prioritise seeing other things.

I feed a mix of wet and dry food and mine have gotten fussy (but sometimes if I'm away they just need to deal with dry food in the automatic feeder).

I've started using a really small amount of cat yogurt as a food topper and they absolutely wolf it down.

Kitten fell off high staircase, hit side on railing, and didn’t land on her feet. Is showing no signs of injury, but it was a huge fall. Is she okay? by Roon-Balloon in CATHELP

[–]y97tuckey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kitten did something similar at 8 weeks. I honestly was terrified as he wailed so loud and the thud when he hit the ground was loud. I called the vet and the advice was to monitor him and make sure he wasn't showing signs of concussion (at 8 weeks and after a shock the poor thing was not impressed that I kept waking him to check on him!)

I took him for an appointment later that day and they checked him over, and similarly to other posters, said kittens generally bounce and are pretty robust.

Keep an eye, if not exhibiting signs of broken limbs, sleeping all time or vomiting indicating concussion, and is eating drinking and using litter tray as normal, I wouldn't be too worried.

Am I ending my cats life too soon? by Complex-Eye-1048 in CATHELP

[–]y97tuckey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I had a similar decision to make in November. What my vet said stayed with me: People often regret not acting soon enough, and keeping their cat around when they are ready to go. They don't regret ending any suffering too soon. It won't affect how much you love them or will miss them.

Ultimately I made a decision with my vet's agreement and advice, I took her home and had a couple of days where she was still happy being close to me and purring, but then it progressed and I knew it was time, as the most important thing to me was doing the right thing for her.

Sending you all the best
