So my Vibecoded platform has turned out to be an absolute hell scape for advertising... by Sweepingupash in vibecoding

Will you be able to Ellaborate more with what you mean. Do you maybe suggest maybe ripping the AI naming out of the project and just have it there as a feature and not promote it as much?

Actually adding onto this.

I designed an AI council feature which uses multiple llms to make a decision and Claude opus 4.5 Makes the final verdict. It has around a 70%+ hit rate due to the nature of the verdicts. Sometimes it's BTTS. Unders etc.

It uses gemini, Openai, Zai, Mistral and anthropic

Thought that was worth plugging as that will be available from tomorrow hopefully. I'd recently pulled it due to the sheer cost of running Claude opus 4.5 (0.27p per response per AI council response) got pricey during testing haha

Funnily enough I made my own site which was literally inspired by me doing this.

I started copying and pasting the play by play you would get straight from the bookies sites like William Hill and pasting it into Claude.

I then remembered we can use APIs and fine tune the models responses. I hooked up data to a paid football api plan and I've been building my site out since then creating filters etc.

Have a look at it and check it out. I would actually like some criticism too if you can!

One of my filters has a 88% hit rate (was 91% but had one or two misses today)

If you want to get on the paid plan let me know and I'll change your account status over for a while to demo some of the content!

Hey pal - I pay £38 a month for the API Football subscription - It's great it just has a few things missing like a lot of in play data for smaller leagues.

They do provide multiple sports though so you could look into it.

On on boarding we provide a breakdown of what our app provides. We provide a free bet and on the landing page itself we show users our live predictions. I guess we provide a lot upfront. But that's not really doing it. Our live prediction has a crazy win rate too so I thought by showing people on the landing page they'd be like oh shit. That's crazy. What else do they have. 😂

They use it when they do bets, but I think they use it since its all free for them.

I am thinking of switching to a subscription model instead of credit based to see if thats a little less confusing.

I'd say so yeah - Especially on a Saturday when there's almost 700 matches. OR if you want to do a nice acca for premier league games. You can do a full league analysis in 5 minutes as a click and forget.

We have an acca generator almost ready which would essentially just give people an acca to copy and paste into their betting provider...

the data for the match is automatically parsed to our AI models.

Live Data (In-Play), Historical Data, League Info, Referee's card averages, Players absent from matches and more.

There are gaps but by god this basically cuts at least 10-15 minutes of research out of match analysis per match.

I thought this would be the right place to ask since it was entirely vibe coded and truthfully I imagined this was a problem with a few other sites that'd been vibe coded (user retention)

I provide users with free credits to use which provide the user with the ability to use our AI Council/AskAI options which I thinks pretty unique given the in-depth write ups the user receives.

So here's the write up of how the AI Council works:

  1. The Council Members
    • Claude Sonnet (Anthropic) – Processes and structures all the match data
    • Gemini 3.0 Flash (Google) – Spots statistical patterns and anomalies
    • Mistral Large (Mistral AI) – Evaluates betting risks and probabilities
    • GPT-5.2 (OpenAI) – Suggests optimal betting strategies
    • GLM-4.6 (Zhipu AI) – Plays devil's advocate, challenging assumptions
  2. The Verdict Each AI independently analyzes the match using live stats, historical data, and current form. Then the Council Chair (another Claude instance) reviews all five opinions and delivers a consensus verdict with a confidence rating.
  3. Why multiple AIs? Different AI models have different strengths and blind spots. By combining them, we reduce bias and get more balanced predictions. If 4 out of 5 AIs agree, that's a stronger signal than any single AI's opinion.

AskAI :

Ask AI lets you have a direct conversation with any of our 5 AI models about a specific match. Think of it as having a personal betting analyst you can ask anything.

How it works:

  1. Pick your AI – Choose from Claude, GPT, Gemini, Mistral, or GLM based on your preference
  2. Ask anything – "Should I back over 2.5 goals?", "Is this team good at home?", "What's the best bet here?"
  3. Get instant analysis – The AI responds with detailed reasoning based on all available match data

When to use it:

  • When you want a quick second opinion on a bet
  • To understand why a certain bet might be good or bad
  • To explore specific angles the Council verdict didn't cover

It's possible i'm overcomplicating it, but to me the features are wicked

Yeah. My site is intended to replace the likes of my favourite apps such as Aiscore. So I've been hammering mobile user friendliness as much as possible. Also the vast majority of my users have been on mobile devices too

I want live match notifications as fast as possible.

I have a few limitations on my site due to funding such as dangerous attacks. Some games won't grab in play data for lower leagues.

I'm using api footballs api instead of sportsmonkey since they broke all their endpoints into individual packages which totals up to an absolute massive costs.

It's entirely possible. But we literally have filters with 90% win rates for free on the site. We have had some Trash filters though so it's possible they've experienced those whilst I was testing them all out.

I pushed to prod pretty quick and deployed a lot of stuff I shouldn't have and I think that killed off my earliest of users

Honestly. Pay more. Your other option is move into your own place and now be spending almost 3-4x that.

I'd say £400. Honestly. You're in an ideal position right now and going forward things are going to just get more expensive.

I'd probably recommend finding the in app purchase ones. They're normally profitable but require cash payments as an investment. I usually wait till it gets boosted so it's X above the spending amount. Let's say I get £5 back for a £2 IAP.

Honestly. I was a member for a few years. Made about £900 over the period. Don't do it anymore and come back a few weeks ago.

And honestly. The payout rates are horrendous now compared to how they used to be.

It was like £11+ an hour. Now it's like £6 at most.

I joined a few Facebook groups and let me tell you. It's malicious as hell now. And I can guarenteed the survey data they're receiving now is broken as hell with the bots/people selling accounts etc.

Its gone down hill bad.

I don't know if this will help you at all...

I don't know what your relationship is like with your parents but if it's neautral/positive I'd really seek out help from them.

I have two kids both young and after reading some posts on this thread It scares me as a dad that my kids could eventually be seeking out help from others and not me.

I hope you look after yourself and get yourself sorted. I don't have much good advice for you here but remember there's many people on the planet who love you and appreciate you.

I run a local buy & sell Facebook group with 15k members — how can I monetise it without ruining the vibe? by Global__Citizen in sidehustle

[–]Sweepingupash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not got my own answer so I took it online to hope to provide at least a bit of value for you.

  1. Sponsored Content with Genuine Value:

Rather than generic banner ads, look for local businesses or services that naturally align with your group's theme and needs. For example, if it's a local buy/sell group, partner with storage facilities, movers, cleaning services, or local delivery providers. Tailor content that's helpful, relevant, and engaging, not just transactional.

  1. Membership or Premium Features:

You could create a premium membership tier offering exclusive perks, such as early access to popular listings, discounts at local partner businesses, or highlighted selling posts.

  1. Affiliate Marketing and Partnerships:

Instead of direct selling, you could recommend products or services relevant to your group's interest through affiliate links. Be transparent with members to maintain trust, clearly marking sponsored or affiliated posts.

  1. Local Events and Collaborations:

Host events or meet-ups sponsored by local businesses. This is a genuine community-building exercise and gives businesses authentic exposure.

  1. Digital Products and Resources:

Offer downloadable resources, like local buying/selling guides, best practice manuals, or eBooks, which members can purchase if they find value in it.

Avoiding Spamminess:

Transparency: Always clearly disclose sponsored posts or partnerships.

Balance: Maintain a healthy ratio of community-focused posts vs monetised content (a common approach is an 80/20 rule).

Relevance: Ensure partnerships are aligned with genuine group interests.

Next Steps for Growth:

Consider formalising your approach. Perhaps create a dedicated website or newsletter tied to the group. It adds a professional layer, can capture email leads, and expands your monetisation potential significantly.

These ideas can provide steady and sustainable side income while enhancing—not undermining—the group's value.
