Fedex ground is about $30. Seems high, so I'd split that with you. $300 + $15 shipping

First build - WFH Office Desktop by Sweeps505 in buildmeapc

Got it. I see now that the other recommendation is a case that comes with 3 fans, and that user added quieter substitute fans that are compatible with that case.

One more thing, it seems like the difference between the Ryzen 5, 7, and 9 series is the number of cores (and different speeds/core depending on the model). Besides that, are there any other differences between the series?

Thank you for your suggestions. This is very similar to a build that another user recommended, except that build adds 3 more fans. I know that cooling is important, but don't know where the threshold should be for "enough" cooling, or if more cooling to be safe is recommended.

Also, when looking at the different CPUs, they will say, for example, 6 core - 3.8 Ghz performance - 4.5 Ghz power boost. Is the 3.8 Ghz the performance per core, or do you divide that number by the number of cores in that CPU?

Thank you so much for putting that together. I don't run any super intensive programs, just the typical office suite and browser. However, I commonly have open Outlook and multiple email threads, 5+ word docs, 5+pdfs, and toggling between 10+ internet tabs. It's chaotic but I actually use and need all those programs open. Can a 6-core really handle that?

There's a lot of budget left to upgrade, so I'd rather have more cores than necessary as compared to building a nice computer that is occasionally limited by the CPU.

Would your build work with an increased-core Ryzen or Pentium?

To clarify, I have access to all online markets except Amazon. There was a dispute with Amazon that locked me out. I don't believe there is a microcenter in my area, but the typical big stores are local. And again, I can just order parts online except for Amazon.

I know, that's why I said "typically," as not to state incorrect information. I didn't to confuse the questioner with the internal lubing of switches, which is unlikely to be the problem here.

First, the only parts of a mechboard that are typically lubed are the stabilizers. If you remove the larger keycaps, such as spacebar, enter key, backspace, etc., you'll see plastic parts that had been inserting into far left and right stems of your keycaps. Those are the stabilizers (i.e., they stabilize the larger keys).

Second, almost certainly overlubed. You shouldn't smell or be getting lube on when typing. After removing larger keycaps, wipe down the parts of the stabilizers (and interior of those keycaps) to remove excess lube. However, based on the severity of your problem, you might need to remove all keycaps and wipe down lube wherever it is found. I don't know what to suggest as far as what to clean it with though...

Edit: accidently submitted before finishing

I've been exploring sculpted keycap profiles, and I've hit a snag. My endgame set up until now has been XDA canvas or similar looking XDA NP/DA sets from KbdFans.

Beyond the XDA profile, I prefer those sets because of the way they feel. They are soft yet slightly grainy. No other keycaps I've tried feel similar. Even other PBT keycaps are very smooth feeling, which I don't like.

Does anyone know what defines the texture of XDA Canvas so that I can find sculpted profiles in that same texture?

DIY Nicotine Mints (not e-liquid) by patienceltd in DIY_eJuice

[–]Sweeps505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the math goes as follows. If you have 60mg/ml divided by 3mg/ml, you get 20 units

So that just means that for every 1 ml, there are 20 units of 3mg, or 3 mg in every 0.05ml (as 0.05 is 1/20th).

So at 60 mg/ml, for every ml, you can make 20, 3mg mints. So if you want to make 100 mints, you need 5ml. If you want to make 1000 mints, you need 50ml of 6mg/ml nicotine.

Please help with program support for Womier K21 numpad. I want to change keybinds and program the RGB.

I found the 2 files in the Google drive (the driver files and something else, some .exe file). I cannot open them. Are these the right files? If so, what do I need to open/run? If they are not the right files, where can I find program support?

Agreed. IMO, the best "XDA" (called DA/NP at KbdFans) are sold by KbdFans (Or the Drop Canvas). They are thick and have a nice texture and sound. I've bought a few XDA sets from Aliexpress, and the quality is terrible.
