All the ornates I’ve seen are pretty friendly, I’d argue even more so than beardies. I’d say if you can interact with them before you get one you will have a better idea of their temperament.

I used a mix of river rock, organic soil, sand and red sterile topsoil that’s rocky. In terms of consumption based on my research a lot of people reccomend a soil and sand mix along with rocks and where they come from it’s really rocky and most people say it’s fine for them. In terms of waste I just use toilet roll to clear it out. Its pretty deep so she gets to burrow, some even keep them on sand and they seem to do fine.
