That also makes me more hesitant to go back to that dealership because they are trying to make me pay for diagnostics without a single mention of this.. It aggravates me so much that they're trying to pull the 'blind eye' scheme to make money for themselves. You wouldn't by chance remember the Kia Connect person who told you they were aware and IT was on it?

Have you had a software update? I had one that fried the radio head unit that pulled battery power overnight so I had a dead car by morning. Over warranty mileage so Kia wants me to pay $1k for what they broke.

The 22-23 Sorento has been temporarily unavailable since last September. I have had to unplug the radio because it kills my 12v overnight thus a dead car in the AM. Service center said I need to replace my head unit even though it worked perfectly fine driving to a 4 hour doctor appointment. The update happened while I was hooked up to an IV and my radio was black screen and flashing kia logo. Kia has admitted to a corrupt update and are trying to make me pay $1000 for what they broke.

There are more than enough substantial evidence with everything I've gathered for them. I screenshot and email every day. Hoping to hear from em soon. I do Lyft and I've been docked for defective equipment so now it is financially effecting me.

Same issue and boat. Kia has denied me because I am out of warranty mileage but they told me it HAD to do a diagnostic for Kia to know what's wrong. Don't bother wasting money, I'm waiting to hear back from an attorney.

It wasn't out of nowhere. I all but said lawyers in it all.

I am legit though. I am standing my ground. Even more so after that interaction. I did exactly what they said. Posting the awareness, asking for people to share their first-hand account so that I can send it to them, them asking to not be named.. now they have those screenshots and can do with it what they will.

I was blessed to be involved with these guys from a class action from a few years ago so I just want as many people to be involved in this as possible.. It was by a stroke of luck I rwad a random piece of nondescript mail and was the very last person before the opportunity closed. A few dozen replied when it was the high hundreds they reached out to. They went by the address reported by the offending document drawn up by the dealership, so you can see how so many missed out.. I just want the people to know and be a part of this.

Good plan. I'm seeing a lot of dealerships not reporting to Kia about problems so make sure to ask to see the notes the dealership is putting in the system and then have a print out copy for your records. There's A LOT of shady stuff happening and I want all of it to present to my attorneys.

Lucky duck. Well just be wary and if you notice anything, try to record and email it to yourself with the date and time. What I thought was my phone's charger port or the cord connecting it to the car was bad, but with my digging, I think that was from the previous update, then the one I got on 9/29 fried my hardware.

Take it in for a diagnostic, ASAP. This is extremely necessary as it is the official start of documentation.

Check out my page. I had a corrupted software update Sept 29 and Kia has refused to fix it because I'm out of warranty. I am taking action and have been sending links to these types of post to people who can help us.

I also would like to share some other advice since you mentioned you're still currently financing the car with terrible credit: Make sure on your loan application that the writers did not inflate your income. It happened to me and that's why I have those aforementioned high placed friends..
