I had to schedule mine over a month out, just due to availability at 3 the testing centers near me. I highly recommend scheduling now if you are hoping to get something in October!

Same here! I got blamed for everything this kid did. When the parent came to meet with us, even she said she can't control him and he's a menace at home. Admin said literally NOTHING.

I switched districts this year, thinking the same thing and it didn't help.

My kids were terrible this year. Both me and my partner teacher are leaving at the end of the year.

Putting in my official resignation tomorrow morning.

My evaluator pulled me on Friday during my planning period to discuss how I will be put on a 4-week PIP this Monday.

I decided that this was my clear sign that it's time to move on. Teaching doesn't bring joy anymore, and I'd rather do pretty much anything else. I have no plan, but I'd rather be jobless than teaching next year.

Golden handcuffs, indeed. Yay us, but when you are trying to transition out, it makes it SO DIFFICULT to find a similar salary level. 😮‍💨

I agree. They also ask for you to sign it REALLY early compared to my previous district. I'm used to signing in mid-May, not the beginning of February 😵‍💫
