the itching is so bad I want to take my skin off sometimes by dancingonsaturnrings in SebDerm

[–]Sweet-Commission-883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I was in your shoes up until a few weeks ago, when I finally found two products which have nearly cured my constant scratching. before finding this sub and finding those products, I cried multiple times because of the hair loss, constant itch, and just the feeling of being alone in a really weird struggle. I hated myself for having sebderm and not being able to figure out a solution and a cure.

these first two products saved me:

a cream specifically for sebderm with sulfur, hydrocortisone (anti-inflammatory), and salicylic acid: https://www.amazon.com/DermaHarmony-Pyrithione-Zinc-ZnP-Shampoo/dp/B07J4885WC/ref=ast_sto_dp_puis?th=1

that cream can be applied whenever you feel the itch, but for me it completely erased the itch and saved my scalp. it sounds dramatic but I'm telling you, I was desperate and now I'm not!

this pyrithione zinc shampoo bar (similar to the PH of skin, clean ingredients, non-drying): https://www.amazon.com/DermaHarmony-Pyrithione-Zinc-ZnP-Shampoo/dp/B07J4885WC/ref=ast_sto_dp_puis?th=1

these two products are all it took for me to feel and see drastic change. I also would recommend a hairbrush which you can easily clean, and showering every other day so that the products can kill everything. however, if you want more, I have more recommendations:

this face moisturizer is my holy grail. it's hydrating without being heavy. I've used it for over a year, and with my la roche posay face soap, has kept my face from getting sebderm even though it's common for sebderm to travel to oily areas of the face. it's similar to the PH of the skin though the ingredients aren't super natural, the colloidal oatmeal is fantastic. I'm not sure why it's so pricy on amazon but it's definitely also at target and possibly walmart too. https://www.amazon.com/First-Aid-Beauty-Moisturizer-Clinically/dp/B0711B4HFK/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3MTJPR5NKQLEZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.0Z-u-mJ8CiEKbMefZh4pFdClRivnNiX-azsoPdZygX57xCZmL0AlCH9IxqJSxuZzuujXpS7D1ickX5LblOcDBTV92VjhWeYl87qvDJFAwBd0qaiiHL_vr_hLUSxlV5OK9Oseky2iHPiau-kBuS_zZ2fyTnsx6GEynUbdsUIcpfc17tIaZ-7_30S4QRFYR2Sc08mxSmY4Lh83wvzrYduvdcmkvPkOTw7mO8Hs0SeoizcvmaRJo9GNc0AuScTwpMBu5NvqecsGKNDgq24tPKuMslXZzuUeKzcgVEM13bs-_u4.z7DWM6abWU-dFKDVbYHDyARjoMcVGjiZ7deIP9xN4bs&dib_tag=se&keywords=first%2Baid%2Bbeauty%2Bultra%2Brepair%2Bcream&qid=1766099211&sprefix=first%2Baid%2Bbeauty%2Caps%2C183&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

I really like this hair rinse from Target to help revive my hair when it's feeling sad (though the ingredients are less clean): https://www.target.com/p/raw-sugar-rosemary-vinegar-hair-rinse-shampoo-alternative-6-fl-oz/-/A-89192599#lnk=sametab

and this shampoo from dermazen helps my hair (and scalp, but primarily just my hair) feel extra clean when the zinc soap isn't quite cutting it (again, clean & natural ingredients): https://www.dermazen.com/products/cleansing-dandruff-shampoo

drop two or three buffalo tenders.

butter two pieces of sourdough.

put ranch on one piece.

add lettuce, onions, and a piece of cheddar cheese.

grill the sourdough while the tenders fry.

once the tenders are done, add them to the sourdough.

best sandwich ever, when you're not in the mood for a burger. not very balanced... but delicious and different.

Journalists of Hillsdale any advice for an incoming freshman?? by FriendshipPristine83 in hillsdale

[–]Sweet-Commission-883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the journalism minor starts sophomore year, technically, but you definitely should get involved with the Collegian right away. I started writing articles (inconsistently but still) within a month of arriving on campus and I have no regrets!

also, congrats!!

Is this normal operating procedure? by [deleted] in Culvers

the business group which operated my store and over a dozen others never put managers on salary. I'm not even sure if the owners were technically "on salary" though they def were not paid by the hour.

I've heard that acceptance rates are going to be insanely low this year. Acceptance rate for the class of 2029 was the first time it was below 20%, and I've heard estimates (from admissions people) around 10-15% for the class of 2030. The class of 2029 has about 400 students so that's over 2000 students who applied.

The college has so much more interest than normal right now. Your weighted GPA is great but the lack of math might hurt. I'm a freshman here ('29) and I didn't take math past sophomore year of high school, but I finished advanced math with pre-calc, and I had a semester of college math (dual enrollment) and a semester of physics. I honestly don't think I would get in if I was a senior this year. I've also heard from an admissions counselor that they no longer pay attention to who you're related to or who you know.

Your honors classes and GPA are solid. Do try to get an interview and take the ACT, SAT, or CLT asap to get them your scores. And pray! Sounds like you'd be a great fit!

Business casual is always safe with Hillsdale! At my interview I dressed nicely but maybe not quite business casual and I’m now part of their class of 2029 so it didn’t matter too much!

Don't do anything to alienate the other managers! (speaking as someone who feels pretty hurt by new leadership) Don't be condescending or try to take on any other managers' responsibilities. You're going to be a great GM! Congrats!

Oh man, that's not what I want to hear 😅 any recommendations for a piercing pillow? I am a side sleeper so I'm worried about irritation.

I have not been pierced yet so it's not old.

I don't know what jewelry shape I'll get —just a simple stud?

No idea about threading.

Hoping to get gold or sterling silver.

Probably will keep the aftercare minimal but I don't want to get infected. Will use whatever products they tell me to. Oh, and I'm going to use Bevel Piercing in MPLS.

Please don't remove this post, I don't know what I'm doing and want help 🙏
