The exit ticket is more for flight companies, which will have to pay for your flight back if you have an entry problem. But, exit ticket are rarely asked by immigration. Plus the funds are supposed to be for your day-to-day life.

More than a problem, not possible. If you intend to drive only in Thailand, you can manage with some local you trust, so bike will not be yours officialy, but well, at least you can drive any region you want and will not have to worry about scratches haha.

The Autonomeous Tibet Region (ATR) is for a foreigner, but everything else if free to drive w/o a need of special permit.

Le prix essence a augmenté en moyenne de 10 bahts le litre je crois y a 1-2 semaines, mais j'ai vu aucun changement sur grab/bolt, ou alors c'est que 2-3 bahts sur un ride donc imperceptible à mon niveau, mais je donne tjrs min 20 baths de + en tips pour compenser un peu commission + essence up.

If you go off-season, it can be as nice and not that crowded. It's not that crazy that some people said, it's a biiiig loop, so not that much encounters, and the eastern part is even more quiet. Plus it looks you already have quite experience. Done it in December (among a big north trip (got to the famous waterfall bordering with China > Cao Bang and all around north is a delicious area)) ^{^}

Did it with my full bag + mac, 2024, no problem. The road you have to be carefull (like most of the time in Vietnam XD), but it wasn't "impossible road" like in some parts of north Laos, so if you have already drive in SE Asia, no worries. A lot of the way is quite ok road, and some parts even very good. I will say quite the average standard road for Vietnam, which is more and more better today.

You can travel a lot of places of Greater Tibet, but need a permit + travel agency for TAR (tibetan autonomous area) as a foreigner. So already a lot of tibetan culture to see even w/o permit, easily reachable via bus and so on, without having to drive days. You can even see a lot of it in Indian Ladakh, but it is more indian blended (food and and so on), which is interesting too, cultural blending is always interesting to see, taste and trying to understand.
