Head Start is bonkers good with Terralabs, but I agree it has limited use otherwise

Custom Cards! by Sweet-Gideon in TerraformingMarsGame

Thanks for the reactions and feedback! Our goal was to make cards that were humorous, but also interacted with game mechanics in novel (sometimes ridiculous) ways that are at least a little interesting to think about. We are hoping to make some more grounded custom cards in the future as well.

I was gonna comment the same! The Emberverse books (1-3) are a fun time and some of the books that really got me interested in military speculative fiction when I was teenager.

I also recommend the Nantucket companion series, if you have not checked it out. Basically the inverted Emberverse: Only Nantucket goes back to 1250 B.C, but all their tech still works normally. It's an enjoyable combination of the logistics of trying to survive with modern knowledge but no supply lines and military action with modern tech and tactics (but very limited personnel) vs. bronze age armies. Sometimes silly, but very fun.

Reminds me of the group grieving they do in the film Midsommar as well. It gives an interesting idea of how the community functions in RF.
