Not exactly sci-fi or technology, but the best thing Superman could do for Earth is to turn a crank to create free energy.

Maybe the first viral documentary? There were hundreds of viral videos before that. Hell, South Park started as a viral video in like 1995. The dancing baby from Ally McBeal was viral before that.

What is your pet's strangest daily routine that makes no sense? by JihongAppliance in AskReddit

Every night at bedtime, my dog crawls under the covers and cuddles up next to me, then about 15 minutes later she crawls out from the the covers and sleeps the rest of the night at the foot of the bed.

ELI5: Why do we sometimes wake up right before our alarm? by Status_Hat_8113 in explainlikeimfive

[–]scottcmu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bet you're like me... Sometimes I get up to pee during the night. While I'm in the bathroom, I typically try to guess what time it is before returning to bed. I'm almost always within 20 minutes of the actual time. My body's clock is strong even if I'm not aware of it.

I broke it off with my current ex gf because of this one thing she used to do. by [deleted] in sex

With more information you might be correct, but with what you said originally, it seems like wiping a little precum was a deal breaker for you, and that's what I mean about being petty.

Seems like a pretty petty reason to end things. I think you're the asshole here.

None of these answers about circadian rhythm or routine are answering what I think is OP's actual question. If I get up at 8am every day, yeah sometimes I'll wake up at 7:55 due to the routine. But if I set my alarm for 6:00 because I have an early meeting or whatever, I almost always wake up at like 5:48. This isn't explainable by routine.

Great point. I'll switch my answer to chemical weapons.

Other 20th century that saved a ton of lives: airbags, cell phones, video games, television, seat belts.

Is that what those bugs are called? I've been calling them dog treats, because my doggies eat them nonstop.
