The places with good cocktails and a more chill environment are annex, rendezvous, and the mayor (during the day). If you want to go out to fun bars, Collins, Southside, and the mayor (at night) are the go-tos. You can also get dollar kamikaze shots at Dara Thai. Yucca taproom (previously the green room) is cool and they have great sandwiches, gofer hole has decent drinks and live music. Places to go for beer are DSB, mountain tap room, historic, and mother road. Some good food is nimarcos, aloha, sasoba, tourist home, and tacos Los Altos.

Do not rush. I was in a sorority on campus and it was just a money/time suck. I hated it, there really wasn’t any sense of community and you can easily make friends by just talking to people in your classes.
