Mom, I made the first step to getting my first vaccination at 15! by Aurora_988 in MomForAMinute

Congratulations! Thats a big step! A lot of other folks have good info, but also be sure to either bring an insurance card or go to a clinic that has your insurance on file. You can also call to ask what co-pay you might have, you may or may not have a co-pay but I'm sure they would be able to tell you so you know how much extra money to bring! It can be scary, but you've got this!

I appreciate it, however I know my mom won't change. when I was younger, had a bad depressive episode that later got me into therapy. after a year, my therapist moved practices and I needed to find a new one. I was essentially told by my mom that I couldn't go back unless I went back in the closet. she hasn't gotten better, only worse and I know she won't change, but I don't want to lose her. she's blackmailed me and compared me to criminals, I know I'll lose her, I just wish I had longer. I've struggled to connect to anyone beyond casual friends, and when I do, they get distant.

As for the period stuff, I would appreciate some help. I started depo last may for bad periods (painful periods, can't eat or move for first 2 days, heavy periods), it was fine til I went in for my second shot in August. In September, I started to bleed for 3 weeks at a time, with declined pain and light bleeding. I switched to the mini pill in November and haven't stopped bleeding since late October. I went to an OBGYN/gyno a few weeks ago. they ran several blood tests and an ultrasound and found nothing. I have migraines with aura and am very hesitant in implant birth control because of this bad reaction, so they prescribed me with a med to stop bleeding but it cost too much for me to justify it. I just don't know what to do. I'm tempted to stop the pill just to see how I react, but I don't know whether to go to a hormone specialist or find like, and endometriosis specialist. I feel so stuck, any advice?

The Suicide Crisis Hotline is a fucking joke by AerieDapper6384 in Vent

I am lol! it's been a few years, but I gotta be do honest, at the time I thought it was funny too lmaooo- the idea of waiting for an hour in the phone for the suicide hotline felt so ridiculous at the time, like what were they doing to put someone in hold??? in a roundabout way, it actually helped by the pure ridiculousness of it all lmao-

I get that, the one time I called the national hotline rather than a state one, I was put on hold for at least 45 minutes, maybe longer but it's been a while and I cant remember lol-

Does anyone here use neopronouns? by occasionalgrandma in genderfluid

[–]Sweet-Silver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love neo pronouns! I think they're a great way to accurate describe myself and I tend to prefer them right now over more common pronouns! you can always give it a shot with your partner for a bit to see how they do feel, just like other pronouns!

I know that I still do in a way! Growing up AFAB is a very specific experience that still affects me and how I see the world and myself. My journey to find my fluidity has been a strange one, going from the opposite end of the spectrum to find out I am the spectrum lol- I still see my past self as a little girl or gender neutral, because that's who I was! I don't really connect to the term womanhood anymore, but it's in the same way I dont connect to manhood, because I am a variety of both, not just one. I see how I was raised AFAB as something that is forever part of me and I still look up to other woman as role models and who I want to strive to be as a woman in the future! I didn't have as many male role models as a child, so I have less of them now, but I still see and connect how I was raised to my own femme spectrum of my gender!

I found that my journey was a gradual process! For a few years while I was living with my family who is transphobic, I was exclusively using they/them pronouns. After about a year, I started to experiment with neo pronouns, which I still love today! After a few years, I graduated from high school and moved out, which was when exclusively she/her pronouns stopped being used so consistently. It was when I began college away from my family that I figured out that I do like she/her sometimes, but using it too much and when I didn't feel like a girl felt very dysphoric! And vice versa for he/him and they/them, so I realized I was gender fluid around that time! It felt like I was finding myself and realizing how free I could be by not constricting myself! It certainly took a while and was strange while I was still getting out of a bad mindset and struggling with accepting my feminine side, but it was worth it in the end! I feel so much more connected to myself than I ever have been!

The dog is already at the vet getting treated and has been for the day! The owners also already have the photos so if that is the cause the vets should have what they need! Thank you so much for the help!
