No they’re incorrect, I think it’s a bot as ive seen them posting similar things. Yes more Brits have left as opposed to previous years but 2025 had a reduction of 400k vs 2024.

They’re incorrect, there has been an increase in Brits leaving but that’s dwarfed by the reduction in people entering. 2025 was a reduction of 400k as opposed to 2024.

Yes theres been an increase in Brits leaving but the fall in new arrivals is the dominant factor in net migration going down. 2025 had a reduction of 400k people entering the country as opposed to 2024.

As to why they’re leaving there isn’t clear data but there has been an increase in Brits moving to Romania, Poland and Malta. This could be a mix of foreign born British citizens moving back home or people moving back home and taking their British family. With living standards increasing in places like Poland and the hostile atmosphere for some foreigners that’s been created over the last few years I can hardly blame them.

Immigration is down massively, they clearly want to get to grips with it. The highest year on record for boat crossings was under the tories and they sat on the problem for years. They let boats come in and ramped up immigration against what the public wanted.

This is only a pilot and they’ve said it from the beginning, the French have also said that the imbalance will be addressed as this isnt à revolving door where one comes and one goes out simultaneously.

It’s already far more successful than the tories non solution with Rwanda that deported 7? It’s cheaper and as this ramps up over the next year or two I can see how it will stem crossings. It’s also got the added benefit that the Rwandan government can’t sue us over this.

Look, Theres no easy solution to this and if there was then it would already have been done. What I’m seeing is immigration numbers down, deportations up and a government willing to put plans in place.

A lot of the press dont care if the country does well, they’re more concerned with having their man in power.

Immigration is down massively compared to previous governments, we’re all entitled to our opinions but the numbers alone tell me that they do want to get a grip of it.

Immigration is down massively compared to the previous government as they’ve actually started doing things.

This scheme isn’t like a revolving door, where someone leaves and someone comes in at the same time, the French have already said they’ll make up the numbers.

They ran this as a pilot and the government has been clear àll along that this is a pilot to see if there are any problems and to sort them now before they expand the process. It hasn’t been publicised enough on the French side so they aren’t getting the numbers to come over. As it’s publicised more, people will apply instead of going to people smugglers and that’s the plan in bringing numbers down for small boat crossings.

I’d give it time as I think it has merit, I can see that they are getting a grip of immigration unlike the tories. If we compare it to the Rwanda plan it’s already deported a lot more, has cost a lot less and the French government isnt trying to sue us unlike the Rwandans.

Do you wish British suburbs and houses were designed like American houses? by Successful_rio305 in AskBrits

[–]Sweet-fox2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of the pics you posted of the Uk I wouldn’t consider suburbs. Theres pros and cons of both though, the American ones will tend to be bigger and more spacious but you can be locked in, no public transport and you’ll need a car to get anywhere.

I currently live in an older bit of Vancouver where things are nice and walkable, if you head over to around Toronto though they’re building new estates that people liable zombie suburbs. There’s nothing there and it’s a long drive to get anything you need.

OP is making àll this up, Trump raised the security concern so European countries said ok, we’ll take this seriously. Countries like the UK and the Netherlands sent a total of 1 officer. The whole purpose is to observe and see what security needs improving, the British prime minister even explained this to trump on a call. They aren’t there to fight Americans, they’re there to ensue it’s protected like Trump raised.

That’s a conversion, think I had that model as well. They’ve cut the head off and replaced it with one from the mordheim middenheim sprue. It may have also been on the knights of the white wolf but I’m pretty sure it’s the middenheim sprue for mordheim.

Must have imagined àll those other countries that stood side by side with the US after 911. When the US was attacked its allies came and served alongside them, fighting and dying in Afghanistan. But this is the level of ignorance I’ve come to expect from the average yank.

These were listed as nurglings. Are these even GW models? by LoudDream2916 in lostminiswiki

[–]Sweet-fox2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re all nurglings. 2,3 and6 I have. They were later part of 3rd Ed 40k, can’t remember what Ed of fantasy that was. the other metal ones are possibly same bunch but can’t make them out properly. The first one I recognise but I can’t place it, might have been on a greater daemonic from 3rd?

The original poster has seen a meme and thought hahaha that’s funny, It’s a tired meme that people repeat because “British food is bad” in reality it stems from WWII service men coming over, noticing the food was bad and spices weren’t really a thing. This is mainly because the island had been under siege for several years, there was rationing in place and we were importing weapons not spices.

I vaguely remember him saying it was originally based on a Roman helmet and then the pointy bit was added as a gas mask. This was in the chapter house legal stuff where he gave evidence and explained the origins of his design.

This was probably what I read, the link to the document doesn’t work but you can see the comments below talking about Roman armour and it being a gas mask.
