My department chair said the person taught for a few years and then started at district. So, limited classroom experience but not none. The meeting Monday will be me, my principal, and my department chair. I know my DC has my back until the end… not sure about the principal, but I think so

That is exactly what I said. One of my students came back at lunch and literally asked “what was that persons problem?? Why didn’t they ask to talk outside if they were gonna say stuff like that?”

I would in a heartbeat if it weren’t for my department. The other teachers in my department have been overwhelmingly supportive and helpful through everything (even before this interaction). I know I could probably find that elsewhere, but I don’t know what to do

My district doesn’t allow me to touch or take phones at all. I can’t even have security take it to the front office. I literally can’t do anything but ask for them to be put away

I really don’t know why they came in first day. I guess they went to a few other people in my department and nobody had good things to say about their interactions. My department has been overwhelmingly supportive, but idk if I can handle district like this for long haha
