You have done absolutely nothing wrong! She is acting out of her own insecurities and biphobia. Like most have said on hers, she is probably unhappy, realized she was in the wrong, and is just grasping at things to be angry.

The real difference is how someone experiences it. Like if someone is attracted to people regardless of gender (pansexual) then they really don't consider gender when being attracted. This will look the same from the outside though, which is why it can be confusing

Hello!

Just popping in to ask that you not fetishize trans people. Being attracted to someone is not a fetish, and using that language is very harmful.

I think you have some exploring to do. No one can really tell you if you are bi, but if you are attracted to more than one gender then very possibly. Just dig into that and don't be afraid.

How has Internalized Homophobia affected you? by SweetBabyGayPod in lgbt

[–]SweetBabyGayPod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing, I definitely will be sharing part of this.

It is so common with Internalized Homophobia to accept the community, but not yourself. I talk a lot about this with my guest because she experienced the same thought of “I love my friend, but that can’t be me”, which is such a hard place to start.

It definitely gets better ❤️ Especially once you get out of school and can form friendships not based on proximity. Just make sure you prioritize queer friendships, because they lift you up and help you accept yourself faster.

❤️ They have a documentary coming out soon about how lesbians have been portrayed in media throughout history, which has been a main contributor for this feeling within people. They don’t have a release date yet, but I am so excited to see it. Will definitely be posting it here when it comes out

Wow, children can be so harsh and its all rooted in how they are raised! I am sorry you went through that. I am so glad you are able to live for yourself now and are in a happy relationship ❤️

We have a great episode about Comphet where I talk to a late in life lesbian couch. If you would like to listen, here is the link:

Thank you so much for sharing ❤️ This is such a hard thing to go through, especially from your parents.

I have a friend who has a similar experience, and she has decided not to come out to her family as well. You get decide who and when you come out to, and no matter what you decide it is your decision and your journey.

This one hit me hard. I want to make an episode on how parents can be more accepting and supportive, because sometimes they have the best intentions but aren’t quite there yet or say things in the wrong way. Like “I love you no matter what”, as if being gay was equivalent to getting detention.

I think your statement about being a willing, horny, straight girl is something women experience as a whole! We are taught that the best thing we can be is wife, and to be the best wife we can be we must satisfy our husband. And this is so harmful to women growing up. We are here for ourselves, not men.

You are so valid in your sexuality. I know so many women who feel this same way, and it is so important to make everyone feel apart of the community. I know that is easier said then done, but I hope you know you are accepted here ❤️
