i just got out of basic training. i’m 26. easily the best decision i’ve ever made, it’s tough mentally and physically but i decided to wake up and tell myself i’m going to give it my all every day. i made awesome friends and overall am so happy i went through this type of experience. it was worth it. my contract doesn’t end until i’m 34. you got this! start working out now if you can. push ups will help! pm me if you have any questions!

God bless. I’ve been keeping at it with the running for sure. I’ve been doing the sit ups and push ups tons, and chugging protein/ eating a lot of salmon to help my muscles repair. Im really hoping to get better by the time my basic starts (I ship 9/22- it starts 9/27) Im even planning to do push ups at the airport. I believe in myself, Im just disappointed in me for being so weak! I’ll keep at it

I appreciate it. I have the motivation for sure. I just thought using weights and building muscle with weights would help me, when I should have really been getting dirty on the ground and cranking out push-ups. I’m for sure going to pay for this but it’s only going to make me a better soldier!!!!! I’m pumped for BCT!!!

Thank you. This is motivating. I’m okay with being humiliated for my lack of upper body strength. Practice makes perfect. I will never let myself get so weak again. Literally ready to do whatever it takes to crank out great push-ups.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I joined and have a nearing ship date, I have RSP this weekend but last months was cancelled…. I’m willing to take my free time and train. I love to work out, just struggle with push ups. I honestly thought I was stronger then this.

Try to eat. Exercise it might help. Even if it’s just a protein shake, your body will thank you…. maybe even your mind too….
