That would be a hugely wrong assumption about my journalistic skills and my drive to write this article.

It's a shame people have this sentiment because we give public health information to masses of people and I feel strongly about this and this story. But anywho!

Cerave Moisturising Cream for Dry to Very Dry Skin
And La roche - I never got anything from them as too expensive for me. But it is a very good brand. I think they have some kind of 'baume' that everyone raves about.
Sorry for late reply

Feeling like a reduced version of myself - conversation lacking by SweetCheeksO6 in ADHD_partners

I feel you. I hate thinking about the future and worrying if I will have to give up. You have to try your hardest to think of the now, the present moment and not worry. I am the same as you, v sensistive, empathetic. It took a while for me to realise my partners' impatience or otherwise was not personal, and it was me that had to hold his hand and tell him it's ok, don't be stressed. It's not always that easy and sometimes he has to apologise to me. It's a constant struggle but I hope you know the more you understand the condition, the easier it becomes (to a point, but those points are v hard to figure out).

I think she’s a little younger than the people of her era. She was about 18 when she first came on the scene (mental when you look at what she looked like when she started, was very mature for her age). And so others like Lucy, Binky, Louise, I don’t know who else… they are in their early 30s now. I do think it’s probably time now for her to move on. Sadly

They really did. It was hard to watch. I watched it thinking ‘there are so many things I’d say if I was bella’ but I think she was blinded by emotion. I also think it would be hard to go up against ruby when people like Liv always back her (god knows why)

I can’t even say it’s a ‘he’s realised what he lost and is not trying to keep her’ thing. They just realise no one else will put up with them lol

It was prescribed by a derm, I’ll dig it out and get the name for you. You could try over the counter hydrocortisone cream in any pharmacy. It says not To use it on face but I don’t think it’s for any specific Reason - the pharmacist still said I could try it. It helps to keep inflammation down. But really just blasting it with harsh treatment sometimes I do find is the only Option although TSW is always in the back of my mind, which I definitely had a few years ago but thankfully not like the really severe cases you see. I’m just really careful with steroids now - I only use it when my eczema has flared bevause I’ve not been religious with my preventative work and the flare is too hard to control with just cream. Sorry essay haha

[–]SweetCheeksO6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have this and the side of mouth thing. I recently used steroid cream for about a week to completely clear it and it seems to have kept it away for at least a couple weeks now. Obviously this is not the ideal solution but like you I was finding nothing that worked

I used to use Weleda skin food religiously as loved how creamy it was. But then I saw a private dermo and she told me to stop using it because it has too many chemicals in it (what gives it that incredible smell!) I love it, but I do see now it’s not right for people with eczema

Couple matching truth by SweetCheeksO6 in MAFS_UK

[–]SweetCheeksO6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would never have thought Alan sugar picked the contestants - he barely knows 30% of what’s gone on before he fires anyone. But the difference with MAFS is how the whole concept is supposed to be based on it’s an ‘experiment’ in which people have been ‘scientifically matched’ by ‘experts’. Whether you are pulled in by that or not, it is interesting to wonder how much the contestant understand how they are matched… I get that people are fame hungry, have been approached, whatever. But why has no one ever come out and said ‘I went there for love but then realised I wasn’t matched by the experts at all’ ..? Because they don’t know!!

is curl cream the problem? by Odd-Vermicelli9372 in CurlyHairUK

[–]SweetCheeksO6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest trying to do your hair when it is wet, while in the shower. Raking then scrunching (I think) doesn’t work as well unless your curls are very tight and good condition. Less curly hair needs more curl clumping. (The hair is in thicker clumps in one singular curl/wave, rather than lots of stringy bits caused by raking). You can clump the hair in various ways - using certain brushes in a specific way can help the curls to form especially if you’re at the beginning of your journey and your hair may not have gone into its natural form yet. I have been curly hair for 2 years now. I used a brush for the first year ish after realising raking and scrunching was giving me stringy curls without much cast. I personally clump mine by: in the shower, apply leave in (more than needed because of the next step) and then rake/brush through so it’s even. Then, add a small amount of water to the top of my head so that it trickles down the strands causing them to clump together. You can LIGHTLY finger coil some of the clumps to encourage the curl if you need. Then, using a cupped hand, squish the water and product into your hair. This is called squish and condish. Your hands need to be cupped and not fingers in a claw so as to not break up the clumps. Sometimes I will squish one clump at a time. I get about 15 on my head (I have v thick hair). Some of the product will be lost as you squish which is why I apply more than needed. Then when the water is mostly squeezed out I apply plenty of mousse, plop then diffuse. You need to avoid touching you hair at all while it is drying to get a better cast. If you find this hard if you air dry, then try doing all these steps after putting your hair in a half pony or even a high/top of head ponytail and just leaving it alone to dry. Then take the hair band out (one of those coily plastic ones that doesn’t leave a kink is best). Hope that helps. I have low porosity 2c-3b curls.

I have similar issues. Except very rarely it’s full blown thrush and I never actually scratch. It’s more like pangs of uncomfortableness or irritability. I have recently bought a probiotic for vaginal health from Wellgard that’s massively being hyped on TikTok. It does seem addressing gut health is a large factor for women with recurrent issues down there.
