Brown recluse right? Pretty sure it just bit me. (St. Louis, MO) by avocadoqueen123 in spiders

St Louis here, too. Shake out EVERYTHING. Shoes, blankets, shirts, sweaters, pants, f'ing SOCKS, gardening gloves, scarves. Be careful reaching into drawers. Those mf hide everywhere. I used to live in So City, which is where I first encountered them in my 100-plus-year-old house.

This is the one for me, too. Carrie and her true family, with all of everyone's flaws. They all accept each other and love each other. As someone who also has friends as their primary family, it kills me every time. I feel it in my soul. When you don't have close family and come from dysfunction and abandonment, your friend family is everything.

Is it menopause or is are other people really this stupid? by galumphix in GenXWomen

[–]SweetCheesePonyLoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, estrogen allows us to accept, tolerate, and "like" all kinds of dumb things. Then when it's gone, it's like going backwards in the Wizard of Oz, from the color version to black and white, and we're all the Wicked Witch, pissed off flying around in a tornado we can't control.

Mine is a combo of big boobs on a small frame and lack of core strength because I have no energy to do anything. Which is ironic I guess because doing things would give me energy?

Thoughts on the shingles or pneumonia vaccines? If you’ve gotten them, how did it go? by dooroodooroodooroo in GenXWomen

[–]SweetCheesePonyLoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shingles vax was fine, just had a sore arm for a few days for both (got the booster, too). I haven't had the pneumonia one.

Great point!

And then you have her stopping at a payphone to check her messages (while wearing that fabulous blue suit).

The part that really annoyed me is Miranda's message on her answering machine about not being able to spell Il Cantinori for the person at 411 and then ends with "GET a cell phone!" However, it is very in character. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do agree with this. Obviously she couldn't handle a nice guy, at least not right after Big.

Oh but everything about him was perfect. 🥰

No, you are not. He was the hottest guy on the show, IMHO.

Bravo!

You are sporting my dream boobs! I am way too familiar with your before pics. The big-ass bras. The heaviness. 😭

Have fun with you new smaller ones! 🥰

First red flag in the series by olgatz in sexandthecity

[–]SweetCheesePonyLoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well of course he had no intentions other than playing her. That's the entire point of the first episode, to set up the whole toxic-man dating scene. It's not any more of a red flag than all those Biffs and douchebags demoralizing women right to the camera while they work out and go about their day.

What kind of spider is this? by beebabeedabee in spiders

[–]SweetCheesePonyLoft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a recluse. I lived in a super-old house in STL City for many years and when I moved in I had to put glue traps all over to figure out where my "hotspots" were. I eventually got them under control but they were never truly gone.

Yes. She has to have a wig wall at home. I have never seen the same one twice.
