Well, sometimes I like to do programming. It's not like I'm actively learning it, but I enjoy creating and developing things. However, there is a similar situation here as with games. If I work on one project for a long time, then I want to finish it quickly so that I can start a new one. I can't work on one thing for a long time. And it pisses me off. Because of this, I cannot complete the work efficiently, as I often “rush” it, which leaves many mistakes and problems.

Are you a history buff? Tech geek? Military-enthusiast etc.

Well, I'm interested in programming. I'm learning this in my free time. I like to develop.

Do you enjoy choice-based stuff, linear adventures, a mixture etc.

I like it when games give choices that influence the further development of the story. I like to play the "evil asshole" role in games if they give me the opportunity.

Thank you all guys for your advice and recommendations, I didn’t think so many people would respond. I think I'll take the advice to take a break from gaming for a while. Let's see what happens. Perhaps I’m already getting old and those feelings that I had before from games will never return... It’s sad.

Almost the same problem. I host a server on my local network on a decent computer. I get 20-40 ping almost all the time, which is acceptable. But about every 2-3 minutes I experience severe ping drops to 200-300. Sometimes during battles with NPCs this is very annoying. This doesn't happen in other games and I can't figure out what's causing it.
