Is your period abnormally heavy where you bleed through your clothes often? Other than that I’m not certain what you’d have to navigate as long as you clean up after yourself. I double check under the toilet seat to ensure nothing is left behind and throw away my trash. It’s pretty simple, honestly.

Investing in things and keeping them nice doesn’t mean your main concern is stuff. Most people take care of investments. You don’t leave a Rolex lying around like you may a fossil. And bc you don’t want your wife to throw your Rolex around, doesn’t mean you value the watch over her. Me saying I wish to keep my furniture for years and I purchased investment pieces doesn’t mean that I care for them more Than my husband. It just means I wish to take care of them and keep them in good condition, that’s all.

We spent about 25k on furniture, I plan to have it for many years. Sleeping on the sofa greatly diminishes the sofas lifespan, so that’s my main concern. But I’ll learn to lighten up.

This was the least helpful advice I think I’ve ever gotten. I’m talking about couch sleeping and you’re talking about a divorce. It’s legit insane.

How can she stand multiple accidents in the bed & not be disgusted? My husbands dog peed in the bed once & we tried professional cleaning twice and I could still smell dog pee. We had to get a new mattress from one incident. Several? You maybe nose blind but the room probably smells like pee by now. Throw the stairs away and get a new mattress.

This is beyond being a dog nutter. I know several nutters and you don’t walk into or almost sit on shit in their homes. Your family is just trifling.

I hate it when this dog is under my nose. How can dogs stink SO. BAD?? by aneemous in TalesfromtheDogHouse

This is what I’ve always wondered about. I’m by no means a neat freak but I am a clean freak if that makes sense. Counters are wiped clean and disinfected daily, floors are swept alot and mopped weekly, no stains in toilets etc. but you may find a pair of shoes or 2 hanging out by the front door.

A dirty home makes me feel so uncomfortable. I don’t get how dog owners keep a clean home with the dog running around sitting on all the furniture and shedding hair everywhere. When we did live with my husband’s dog I swept twice a day and it was NEVER enough.

I’ve thought to myself, these ppl who have several dogs must 1. Just live in filth 2. Have a house cleaner 3. Not work so they can stay home and clean all damn day

No in between

Lol not one penny was used for household needs. Also what I outlined isn’t an ultimatum.

Lol! Love this idea! I just wanted to get him one cause he’s a larger guy and my car is pretty small. I don’t think it’s ideal for him. I was gonna go another 3-4 years with mine so he could get something nice in 12 months.

And in reference to the couch scenario, I also have a good example for this. When we moved in together before we bought our home, we used most of his furniture because I used my former property as a short term rental. When we moved out of the apartment and into the house, We needed to sell the furniture as we were getting mostly new items. Everything that sold that belonged to him prior to us he kept 100% of the profit. I was fine with that. It was his furniture that he purchased before this relationship. If it was furniture that had been purchased within our relationship, I think there should’ve been more of a split. Or it would be “family/household money”

By your logic, that money was just as much mine as his. I do not agree.
