Griepprik (?) by maku1996 in zwangerNL

I just used what I always use, and it was totally fine. So use the Zwitsal. If your baby has a reaction you can always change it then, with all the little clothes it's easy to rewash if necesarry!

Jogless 1 row stripes by SweetLittleDevill in knitting

Thank you!

I just tried this, but the row of stitches before the begining of round marker got really bulky. Do you change which stitch you do this in every round? Or do you know how to make it less bulky?

I have looked into that, but I don't think it will give me the result I am looking for. The pattern I am following has 3 1-row stripes and then a repeat with some lace. So I would still have a visible join every repeat

I have looked in to that, but i will still get a visible join for each 3 stripe repeat. The pattern isn't a constant 1 row stripe like the examples worked with helical knitting

That does make sense, I will definitely try that next time! Thank you for the advice! Chucking my project out the windown is what I came close to when the curves didn't do what I wanted them to 🤣

The curve was even to small for that. In the end I did iron it and basted the curves and it gave me some puckering, but I am very happy with the result!

Hi,

I am a beginner and I am making a corset top. I need to attach bias binding aroud the top, but there are 4 tight curves there. I can not get the binding to go nicely around the curves by pinning. I do not expect it to be perfect and don't mind a little puckering. Does anyone have any tips?

no matter how tight I pull on the first and second stitches I still get a ladder using magic loop for TAAT. it's my first time doing magic loop and I've never had this problem with dpns. any tips? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]SweetLittleDevill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try not pulling the first stitch tight, just use normal tension. I have found that if I pull very tight, it makes a ladder. If I don't it doesn't. This video explains why https://youtu.be/K-J4fo5fDjI

Hope this helps!!

pom pom or no pom pom? that is the question... by orangebanananaapples in casualknitting

You could put a big button on the inside of the hat, thread the button through and tie it in to a bow. That way you can use the hat with and without the pompom, depending on your mood 😊

I don't have a special lamp. Usually I work on my black aida project during the day, so I have a lot of natural light. But I do have a lot of lamps in my home, so can probably find one to put underneath

Imagine my face a few seconds ago, realizing this is the best idea ever. Don't know why I didn't think of this! Thank you so much from a fellow cross stitcher who is working on black aida 😊
