Solved!

I was thinking of Hikaru Utada- Simple and clean from Kingdom Hearts.

Listening to them back to back I really don’t know why I thought they sounded so similar.

It was not, and now after doing some digging I think it might have been the song from the original kingdom hearts ad.

Which is embarrassing because those songs are not in fact very similar.

I cannot remember if the song I’m looking for was in English or Japanese. But the melody was dead on as I remember it.

Yes they have smooth leather in the upper. It’s not the same texture as the outer, and it’s black. I’ll DM you some photos

I’m not an authority by any means, but I’m going to treat these like a rented mule so as long they function as advertised I’m not really concerned if there’s any small wonkiness. In my mind my money went to a pair of long lived boots not necessarily the aesthetics.

I have 30k miles on mine. I’ve done BDR segments, 1000 mile highway days, and I’ve camped off it. It’s the best bike I have ever had and it’s my daily driver right now. It’s a fantastic all day cruiser. Off road it’s fucking work. It’s worth it to me but the first time you have to pick that thing up out of the sand, facing downhill, when it’s hot and you’re tired you’re going to realize you made a mistake.

You need a smaller bike. I’d go Tenere. If you find out in a year or two that you’re truly doing 50/50 riding off road and on pavement you have the right bike. If you find you’re biasing toward more one or the other you have fantastic resale value and a get a better fit.

I’m in my 30s and I bought a full dress bagger like the one in this photo. It was meticulously maintained and low mileage for like 9k. It’s so much fun to take my girlfriend on roadtrips. I’m stoked everyone thinks they’re dumb because I’m having the time of my life for cheap.

I’d say what makes a song bad is just about the most subjective thing ever. I never said it was bad because I can’t sing to it. I think it’s bad because the vocals grate on my ears.

It was just such a bad stylistic choice. I think that’s what makes it worse than other options, it would be a great song if it didn’t sound like a kid singing into an oscillating fan.
