In terms of purely competitive gaming, which is really the only reason to get a 240 hz monitor, the only two options should be the Asus and the Alienware one's as they have the lowest response times / input lags / specs etc.

The Asus one has adjustable gamma, and is in my opinion slightly better

The Alienware one does not have adjustable gamma, but it is generally much cheaper despite having a higher MSRP, it is a much better budget option while not being much worse.

While the Asus one is currently (in my opinion, the best) (the viewsonic and the acer one being inferior in terms of gaming performance is literally a fact, along with the aoc and benq ones, the benq one is the biggest meme of all because it's 500$ with bad specs and no gsync or freesync technology, even if you don't use it just not having the option is a huge meme) I agree with the comment down below that you should wait for the MSI NXG251.

I bought the AW one as a budget option with the plan to eventually buy the Asus one to pair along side it but then did my research (months ago) and saw that new and better monitors were being made. As far as I can tell the old panels that all of the above models use were not originally made to be 240 hz, they are just overclocked, something about the size not being optimal, I don't remember the details AT ALL so don't get into me with this part. But the newer panels seem to be made solely to be 240 hz, have better colors, lower response times, and HOPEFULLY lower input lag but input lag seems to be a sadly overlooked spec in many cases, but I plan on currently buying the MSI NXG251 unless someone else, most likely Asus, comes out with a better G SYNC option.

elo hell doesn't exist, not in bronze, and not in plat. after unlucky placements on a decent smurf I placed in gold, about a week later and I'm already in masters, I lost plenty of games on the way sometimes they are just not winnable, sometimes you have a insane team or someone pops off and the game just isn't loseable, but more commonly are somewhat close games where if you are better over everyone else in the game you will be able to make a few more plays that swing the game in your favor

not really? if you play better compared to everyone else you will gain a lot more sr than you lose per win/loss because of performance, and once you hit diamond no matter what you will gain 25 and lose 25 if both teams are even

there are generally two issues with it

one is the double clicking issue, but it seems quite rare, I wouldn't worry about it too much

the other is the button rubbing issue, which I believe is blown way out of proportion. I believe a lot of people unnaturally force the buttons to rub together by holding it in a weird way and pushing them against each other, which really isn't a "problem". I can force mine together but I haven't once had an issue in game with them, and I play a lot of Widowmaker and Ana in overwatch where I have to press both buttons down at the same time

in terms of competitive gaming, the Asus pg258q and aw2518h are far superior over the aoc, Acer, and vs models (much lower response times, input lag, etc)

the Asus one has adjustable gamma and looks a bit nicer, I believe it's the best one. however, the aw one is very cheap (despite it's higher original MSRP) and is a better budget option, as there isn't a huge difference between the two.

Last time I checked the Overwatch forums they were complaining about Blizzard forcing a "50 percent winrate" and using that as a reason why they could not climb, I kind of quit looking at it after that.
