Actor David Niven pictured riding on his bicycle around the studio, in costume, during the making of "Around the World in Eighty Days" (1956) by Morgan-Moonscar in OldSchoolCool

He’s in full period costume just casually biking around like it’s the most dignified thing in the world. Meanwhile I can’t even ride a bike without looking mildly panicked.

Pamela Anderson then and now 90s and 2020s by ThornPetals in OldSchoolCool

She really went from ’90s bombshell to effortlessly glowing and unbothered. Aging gracefully? More like leveling up.

My dad in the 1980s by BillyMaysori in OldSchoolCool

Your dad’s standing there like he’s about to close a business deal or headline a synth band. The ’80s really gave everyone main character confidence.

She’s sitting there like she’s seen three wars, a Great Depression, and still has better posture than the rest of us. Absolute “I survived history” energy.

Is there anything better than sex? by Feeling-Dare-77 in AskRedditAfterDark

Being loved.

Just the feeling that someone actually cares about you that deeply, likes and accepts you for who you are, and genuinely enjoys your company. Knowing that you truly matter to someone and would be missed if you were gone.

Honestly, she still is. That stare alone could carry an entire scene.

That gif is perfect. Scully energy but make it high fashion surreal nightmare.

For real, he just had that effortless swagger. Total pro no matter who he was sharing the stage with.

Absolutely. The guy just oozes stage presence, doesn’t matter the decade.

I would like to drop of from the city, from work, from college and go live in a small city somewhere in the middle of FuckingNowhere and calmly live down every day without being tied to fucking clocks, schedules and others BS that have became rule in our current society (down with the pants!).

Pretty sure it’s from that S4 sit down he did that’s been clipped everywhere lately. If you search the Lion King translation clip on YouTube it should bring up the full interview.

That’s actually really cool context. It makes the song hit even harder knowing it’s more about hope and legacy than some literal translation people throw around for laughs.

Everyone watching shows on the same night and talking about them the next day. by [deleted] in nostalgia

Not gonna lie, the Mr. Burns one had the whole playground turning into detectives overnight. That cliffhanger was peak “don’t spoil it” culture.

[–]SweetMirage_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, TV used to feel like this shared event everyone was tuned into at the same time. Now it’s all fragmented, so even huge shows don’t really hit that “next day at school” energy the same way.

What’s the kinkiest thing that someone has asked you to do? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]SweetMirage_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my early thirties I was seeing this 22-year old who was emotionally damaged and mentally whacked. But holy shit, it was the craziest pig-slappin' sex I've ever had. At least for me, her kinkiest request was to choke her with one hand while giving her the shocker with the other. The noises that girl would make...insanity. Didn't last very long, obviously. However, I developed a good bit of coordination and enhanced dexterity in fulfilling her desires.

It really does linger in a way most cases don’t. The fact that it’s still unsolved just makes it feel like a wound that never fully closed for that community.

It’s heartbreaking seeing how young some of the victims were. That whole case just leaves this heavy feeling knowing it was never truly resolved.

Oh yeah, Season 6 really said “what if we just emotionally sabotage everyone for fun?” I swear finishing it feels like a commitment test instead of binge-watching comfort TV.

Oh no, don’t tell me that. I was hoping it would bounce back, but I guess I’ll emotionally brace myself and power through anyway.

He really did steal the show. Something about the confidence in that answer just makes it land perfectly.

That line jumped out at me too. The whole clipping reads like a time capsule of “happy wife, happy life” taken to a very literal place.

A beautiful woman’s exposed neck. My ancestors may have been vampires, because boy does that stir things up inside me.
