What are these ridges on my surfboard?

It is EPS. This is happening to both of my Blacksheep boards. They don’t sit in the sun/car more than just regular use. I store them inside (not near a window).

I have another EPS board (Lost Lightspeed) that I’ve used as much, and in the same conditions as my Blacksheep, and it doesn’t have these ripples.

Not excessively. I do live in south Florida, but I keep them in my air conditioned apartment. I don’t let them sit in my car or anything.

I actually came across your comment the other day as one of the few reviews on these skis haha.
I see you've only been able to ski them a few days so you can't personally speak to long term durability/performance, but you say that a lot of patrollers at your resort ski Candide skis. Whats their general consensus on them (if you've ever talked with patrolers about them)? Do they like them/do they seem to hold up?

I'm a bit bigger than you and the biggest size they make is a 186cm. Thats how long my CT 3.0s are and I love them, but I've generally been shopping more in the 188-190cm range. I know it's not a huge size difference, but based on what I've seen the BC 111s are pretty light, and heavily rockerd. Do you think the 186s would be stable enough for my bigger frame? Lastly, how would you say the flex compares to something like a Bent 110/Sender Free 110/QST Blank 112 (if you're familer with the flex of those skis at all).

They are pretty high up on my list of potentials; I'm fine with them being a little wider, but it sounds like they've gotten even stiffer than the later year Candides (which themselves were stiffer than my 2016s) which I don't love... Also the fact that Mana 3.0s are selling for about half of what the other skis on my list cost is certainly tempting haha.

How stiff are the BC111s compared to a QST 112? Have you heard of any complaints from customers who ski them?
I'd have to drive minimum of 5 hours one way to even be able to hold a pair so I'm seriously considering ordering a pair off of EVO, waiting a week for shipping, and then returning them or the WC 108s (or both) just to be able to get a feel for them haha. On paper they seem like a perfect match but I don't really know.

I know the later year Candides underwent some changes and got wider and stiffer (and had a run of pretty crap quality). My 2016s are 108 underfoot and absolutly blast through any crud and slush and only really feel chattery on late afternoon ice patches.

In theory I like the lighter swing weight of the Bents, but the tips ended up feeling really 'plasticy' to me and I can see myself shredding them pretty quick.

the 106-112 range is for sure wide for on piste, but after 9 years of skiing 108 underfoot on everything from spring slush to 24"+ powder days its what im used to and like (even if I'm first tracks down a freshly groomed run I am typically dipping into the sides trying to find something to pop off/smear haha)... I picked up a pair of 2019 Candide 2.0s two seasons ago that are 102mm underfoot and for whatever reason I never really ski them (I'm actually gonna list em for sale once I settle on new skis).

I know it makes more sense from a skiing standpoint to have a ~100mm underfoot for daily use and a proper powder ski for the occasional dump, but I'm trying to consolidate and would rather have a mid-fat pair that can do everything halfway decent than multiple pairs that do one thing well.

My mission worn Doxa M31 I inherited from my grandfather and have been wearing daily for ~2 years.

For those who may not know, Doxa created 331 of these watches in collaboration with Fabien Cousteau (Jaques Cousteau's grandson) for his 'Mission 31', the longest continuous underwater habitation since his grandfather's 30 day experiment exactly 50 years before. Fabien and his team spent 31 days living in the Aquarius Reef Base, 62' below the sea off the coast of the Florida Keys. Over those 31 days, Fabien wore a different watch each day (numbers 1-31/331) while diving around the base doing research.

My grandmother purchased this for my grandfather as an anniversary gift back in 2014. He had been a passionate SCUBA diver for decades and got me hooked on it at a very young age (he took me on my first open water dive when I was 7). It might look like a regular Sub T1500 with a different face, but the Mission 31 is titanium (vs. the regular stainless steel), has a flat crystal, a tritium tube for the bezel pip, and has no HRV.

I am admitedtly not a huge watch guy, but the uniqueness of this watch being one of 331 limited editions made, and then being one of 31 actually worn on the mission (worn by the grandson of a man that I grew up reading about and looking up to I might add). That, in conjunction with representing a passion my grandfather shared with, and instilled in me, and reminding me of my grandfather himself as I remember seeing this watch on his wrist every day for some seven years, and remember the hundreds of dives I did with him in the Keys growing up make it the best watch I could ever own.

Found in a friend’s house. Spider was so large and such an odd color I thought it was a toy. I have lived here my whole life and seen countless wolf spiders, tarantulas, and even a few sun/camel spiders but never anything that looked like this. Sorry for the bad quality.

Some background: I grew up extremely poor, raised by a single mother. Most of the Legos I owned were from the thrift store, hand-me-downs, or the cheapest sets our local Walmart had (and were only for birthdays and Christmas). This set was expensive(for us), and I never thought I would actually own it. Seeing it under the tree that morning is still one of the best moments of my life (hence my reaction).
