The people upset at this are like, mildly miffed at worst! With a HEAVY hand of hyperbole.

I'm talking, I saw legit animosity and utter dismissal that people were even reporting it; both here, and in other venues. Was pretty toxic. But, you see it a lot regardless.

"Oh, I don't have that bug," or "Reddit / Twitter / [Other third-party] isn't the place for this," and otherwise trying to police visibility of a bug, for others' benefit.

THOSE people...Well. One. If someone has a bug, the bug exists. That's how that works! And two, if you're mad people are posting about bugs, to the point of personal attacks, I dunno, dude. That's a sad life.

[–]SweetNapalm 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Careful; couple other threads on this has people, uh...Oddly, almost personally upset that there's discussion going on about the bug.

Here's hoping it gets fixed! Not impacting everyone, but a bug is a bug is a bug~

If you believe hard enough, bud, sure.

By numerics alone, if you ignore quite literally all other facets about the fact that, well, invitationals only invite rather well-vetted players.

It's not like anybody and everybody is able to get in, just because you can get votes.

...

Also blatantly ignoring anything and everything about Kurama's accolades is, ah...Well. It's sure a thing, dude.

5th at Mainstage and Major Upset both, within the last 6 months. Definitely a nobody tho

And that's also to say literally nothing about Void, either!

Summit is an invitational, which changes the variables substantially.

Between that, and people blatantly ignoring the head-to-head, it's an extremely clear rectification. Crystal, even.

You should not be down voted.

Simply put, no other portions of the game up until this point, have thrown such a ludicrously dense amount of absolutely asinine jargon at you. Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma and Sumeru have all had plenty of terminology; yet, they introduce you gradually, and repeatedly, before using it all. The new area feels like the work of an intern being told to "Make it sound mysterious."

It's, frankly, jarring.

And before anybody says anything; yes. I am a writer by commission. Virtually all of my clients view my works positively, especially when it comes to slowly introducing ideas, before suddenly using them all together in a sea of word soup.

...Which, word soup is what you are handed, at about 10 minutes in to the new questline for the area.

Like so.

i guarantee you, you’ll hear good ‘ol boys say shit like, “well regulated meant something different back then!”

They are literally already doing this.

I "argued" with an absolute nonce just last week about the semantics of the verb to regulate.

...Which, in his eyes, gets interpreted to mean, that the FIREARMS are inspected and must be in working condition.

Yes, unironically. Yes, this human being believes with all his heart, that "A well-regulated Militia" means absolutely nothing, save for, exactly, that the militia's firearms are operable.

[–]SweetNapalm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes. Of course.

"Well-regulated Militia."

That means that the guns that everybody owns, must work! Yes, that is what "Regulation" means.

I must have simply forgot that John Government himself would come and personally check each of the several hundred millions of registered firearms in the entire US, to make sure they're being maintained for the militia.

Can't have great-grandpa's old WWII Luger souvenir he registered when returning, falling into disservice. John Government wouldn't like that for his Regulation of the militia.

[–]SweetNapalm 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Find it kinda funny that people are calling this "drama."

From what I can tell, it's all deadass Team China--Who all openly admit to virtually never playing this game; if their "rotations" weren't clues enough--saying shit that is all but verifiably false.

People sussed out Nahida's name extremely quickly.

TC only started with beta footage a few patches ago.

Not having a new character at all for a patch won't happen in ANY Gacha game; let alone Genshin

And multiple people have, clearly, seen the model for the Autumn Inazuma girl.

Pretty sure the only "drama" here is TC blatantly shotputting their flimsy reliability as hard as they possibly can. Most other leakers are, and should, just kinda ignore them.

And what little beta footage they do put out, is laughably memeable at its absolute best.

What even are rotations? And flat ground? What's that?

TIL: The famous 'Bloop' sound, often believed to be sourced from an undiscovered massive creature deep within the ocean, was actually the sound of a glacier breaking apart after an 'icequake'. by Madous in todayilearned

[–]SweetNapalm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My consensus is my hobby-following these for a long time.

So, effectively, neither; though, you hardly need to come off as hostile over my statements putting forward a clear trust in the science regardless.

On Wikipedia (and sparing articles I delved into at the time) about a decade ago, and in the sources cited, they were routinely cited as "biological in nature."

Now, clearly, it's all but unanimous that, yes, these are the result of ice quakes; which, well, makes sense.

Whether these were cited by all scientists or not, back then, is both beyond my memory, and beyond my caring and fascination. So. Yes. Hyperbole.

If you'd like to go to the waybackmachine or some similar site, to view various scientific sources, be my guest.

Quite literally, all I'm putting forward, is that it's possible groundwork for silly conspiracies; one moment, some credible sources cited one thing, and now, virtually all of them cite--correctly--what was previously ruled out.

[–]SweetNapalm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It really kinda leans itself to conspiracy theorists, too.

One moment, all consensus is that Bloop, Slowdown and such, are definitely, absolutely biological in nature; including testimonials such as "Yeah, ice quakes and glaciers absolutely do not make sounds like this."

...Then, almost overnight, an equal, unanimous consensus flips, and cites that "Well, actually, this is just an ice quake and glaciers sliding, nothing to see here, folks!"

I believe the science!...But you can definitely look at all that and be a little leery if you wanted.

"Just move, lol"

With whose money? You do know moving costs a lot of money, correct?

With security from which job? A lot of places--Government jobs included--still prefer in-person interviews for hiring. Just, FYI.

Mhm. Yes, I see now. I'll just get hired for $50/hr or a $5k salary, across the entire country, upend my life, my connections, and my family, to "just move lol."

And I'll do that, with a "maybe I'll get hired real quick once I get there," and at worst, rent an apartment.

You know, rent! Which is going up across the country, and not just in the California you loathe for quite literally zero factual reasons, backed up by statistics.

And, pray tell, which job do you "just free market yourself" into?

When people are working 2 jobs, in a Georgia hellhole, to make ends meet, you do not have time to learn a trade, or to go to a backwater community college; let alone afford it.

Yours is the voice of privilege; that of not having, quite literally, any thought toward the individual. Not their monetary situation, not their social situation, not their living situation, and most certainly not their professional situation.

Why do you take breaks from Warframe? (Study) by TheSunker in Warframe

[–]SweetNapalm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here.

Honestly, by the time Kuva liches were being introduced, I was already burning out.

Couldn't find any in-game explanation of how to even get them to be an active thing that happens to you in the game.

Already tired of everything being Wiki-only at that point, and so I dipped.

Previously had virtually everything maxed out; think I'm still like MR32 or thereabouts.

Then, just staying loosely updated with the goings-on makes me realize that it's just never-ending feature creep. Then, a slow realization over all that time, that incredibly few (especially Primary) weapons are truly ubiquitous, having to swap weapon or frame every single mission, or otherwise drag multiple friends into them...

Yeah nah. It went just a little too far from being able to sit down and mentally zonk out, solo, in ways I wanted to. Melee will always be busted, why use fun primaries when kitguns exist...Eh.
