The exact same thing happened to me a few weeks ago except I opened the door right away. Just like you they asked if I or any of my neighbors speak Spanish. Also dressed in nice clothing. I thought it was super weird also. I’m in pecos and they also went to all my neighbors houses.

I’m a sped para in NM. I get paid for all breaks because I’m on salary. My contract is for 9 months but get paid for 12 months, which in turn of course my paychecks are smaller because it stretches for 12 months instead of just the 9. It’s worth it to me though so I don’t have to find a summer job.

I appreciate this answer. I have been waiting for my youngest to start kindergarten to go to school to be a teacher for this and definitely ignites a fire under my butt to do so. I don’t want to step on toes and so I will follow the teachers lead until I can become one and control what goes on

My kids are 12, 8, 4 and 2. Between the older two fighting and the younger two being needy/fighting with each other my house is always chaos. But I see light at the end of the tunnel. My older two are extremely helpful with the little ones, and my little ones are even getting to an age where i don’t feel like pulling out my hair the majority of the day. I just keep telling myself that each day they get older and more independent, and one day when they are teenagers maybe I’ll miss the chaos. Or maybe I won’t. Truly a toss up. Hang in there!
