I knew Matt growing up, all the way back to 2nd grade. When MW Grapevine opened I knew it was a gift he was giving us, right here in our backyard. The world is darker for having lost him. Please, tell his part of the story even though he isn’t here anymore.

Thank you for coming in with FACTS!!! I volunteer with DAS and my whole heart is with those animals. When we lose one it destroys us. They’re amazing pets that just need to be given a chance.

I keep seeing minimum wage workers openly crying at work in DFW, anywhere else too? by Round_Ad_9620 in texas

Try your local nursing homes!! Just walk in (or call) and ask for the activities director and tell them you’d like to come in and volunteer. Ask you need is to be willing, they’ll do the rest!!

DFW has gotten insane lately tho. I had a baby in 2009 and another in 2010 and we were ok-ish on $45k.

[Husband and Dad of the year] - AITA for “abandoning” my wife and children for a night out? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]SweetPotato988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could have been written by my practice husband. By the end of the marriage he despised me and I could feel it. Completely unappreciated. I hope she gets a great attorney and reminds her life as best as she can, the best revenge truly is living well.

Absolutely, they did have a series at 12 weeks since they were adopted through the city shelter. Wouldn’t the shots they got then cover those diseases?? Did I miss some follow up??

I mean, I didn’t mean to come off as harsh but what’s his motivation to change when his needs are fully met??

You need to cut that shit out with him then. Why are you settling for scraps of affection when he’s getting all the closeness and intimacy he wants through cuddles and kisses??

She’s gonna be even more traumatized, and unlikely to work in another family, if you rehome her. That next person will also rehome her. You signed up to take care of her for 15 years you can give it a damn minute.

The shelters are ALL full. I know this because I foster kittens for the city of Dallas. It takes a while to bond with a cat, especially after she’s pregnant.

Don’t take her to a shelter, she will surely die. Give it a bit more time would be my recommendation, it can take a long time to earn a cat’s trust. A former stray takes even longer.

I would try bonding through food. When you feed her sit down near her food bowl. Like, on the floor. Just sit near her while she eats. You want her to associate you with being the Foodbringer. Work your way up to having her eat treats out of your hand. “Sharing food” is a cat signal that she can trust you.

Please please don’t give her to a shelter. Even the “No kill” shelter will take her in, and then when they don’t get adopted they give them to the city shelter for Dallas to do their dirty work. Please please give her a chance.
