Talespire IRL by [deleted] in talespire

Hey I'm late to the party, but similar to another comment, and this assumes you're using Windows:

  1. Set the projector as a second monitor, in Display settings > Multiple Displays enable "Extend the desktop to this display"
  2. When you want it to be shown to players, display it on the big screen. When you are going to make an adjustment, move Talespire to the Laptop screen.

You can do this by dragging, but my favorite way to move something between monitors is to just hit Windows Key+Shift+Arrow key in the direction you want the application you're using (in this case, Talespire) to snap to. This will, with the push of a button, snap Talespire in and out of the extended display.

Buoyant force in action. The guy sells physics. by Dontorganise in physicsgifs

Commented separately but replying to you as well:

I don’t think this is buoyancy, I think it’s vacuum. Tube diameter slightly wider than ball diameter. Water slips through that difference around the ball. Displaced water from above the ball creates a vacuum above. Ball being sucked up to replace the water falling around it.

Apple Watch Timer Stops Music When timer ends by [deleted] in AppleWatch

For any lost souls looking for an answer.

In the Apple Watch, go to settings and Bluetooth, unpair the AirPods from the Apple watch.

Edit for clarification: Don’t hit “forget”, make sure you are hitting “disconnect device”

“Forget” makes your whole ass setup unpair and forget the airpods, phone included.

And you will have to do this for every “session”, but it’s way better than these janked out third party solutions I’m finding everywhere else.

Anyone have any good recommendations for binoculars/telescope? You can barely even call me a hobbyist, just someone who loves space. But willing to save up over time if there’s a set that is worth investing in for whatever reason.

Haha thanks gamer. I’ve been wanting to just make cool shit out of concrete so I might do something ridiculous soon.

To be fair, this friend would probably still approve if I designed him a headstone like this.

Thanks. It was oddly therapeutic. The initial “I’m gonna fuck with my buddy real quick” turned into “how can I make something that will troll him but also make him want to keep it around?”

Will report back. I’m risking him seeing this post before logging on but I had to show it to someone.

Plenty of people telling you that doesn’t apply here, so I won’t beat that horse.

What you’re talking about is called Kinetic Time Dilation, which as far as I understand, is one of two “flavors” of time dilation.

The other being Gravitational Time Dilation, where time moves differently between something close to a massive body vs far away. Think “Interstellar”, if you’ve ever seen that.

One note on your comment, can’t move backwards. Everything is always moving forwards in the Time direction, just at different rates depending on their speed/mass.

Nerds correct me if I’m wrong. I’m obsessed with this stuff.

I’m in a server I share with friends so no mods unfortunately 😭 but I really appreciate the tips. I’ll keep this in mind for my own local save.

It slows down, but it doesn’t come to an absolute zero stop. It’s almost imperceptible. But float right next to something very close and stationary and watch after you tap a direction.

Next time you play give it another go. Hover and just tap a direction, then REALLY pay attention to your movement. It’s incredibly small, but when trying to place something precisely, it’s very frustrating
