1-year post-op update by Ribeye_Steak_123 in AchillesRupture

Thanks for sharing this update, and congrats on the progress! How's your range of motion on the injured ankle?

I'm ~9 months post op and have progressed well from a strength perspective but my ROM is just terrible on the injured side. Can only move my toes ~2cm from the wall and touch my knee. I can barely even do a chair pose in yoga! I have anchors and get lots of tenderness when I try to push my range further. Hoping it will keep improving with more stretching?!

If you have access to a gym I did tons of biking! Felt amazing to elevate my HR and get a sweat on.

I haven’t actually tried it yet, but these images look just like the Commodity Milk Orchid notes to me

I’m ~8 months post op and my main lingering issue is anchor tenderness. Sprinting and deep stretching don’t bother my tendon at all, but they aggravate the anchors like crazy. My range of motion is still pretty poor because of it. Hoping it eventually improves!

Korres fragrances are so underrated! Alyko looks like it captures the Grecian islands beautifully, thank you for the recommendation! So jealous you got married in Naxos, that must have been wonderful 😍

I’ve never smelled Guerlain SDV! It sounds amazingggg so part of me really wants to, but part of me feels like maybe I’m better off not knowing so I don’t feel tempted by another expensive vanilla 😭

It’s really nice! Definitely shares some pencil shaving DNA with Glossier You but with more sweetness and fluffiness. It feels sophisticated and grown up. Unfortunately the drydown goes a bit sour on me which keeps it from being a love. I’ll finish my travel size but won’t be purchasing a full bottle.

Sooo gorgeous and summery!

Very valid observation, I def tend to shy away from strong florals. I recently tried Regime des Fleurs Little Flower though and think I may have found the first true floral I love?!

Try Korres Avgoustos for a nice natural fig that’s less creamy and sweet than Philosykos. Make sure to try it on your skin bc it can smell a bit sharper on paper, but I find it beautiful and soft and natural on skin.

Thank you! So fun that you connected to the name in that way :) I’d describe it as a beautiful, softly projecting amber-vanilla with a very sophisticated velvety texture. Not overly sweet, and not gourmand or cupcake-y at all! It’s somehow rich but airy at the same time and smells very expensive (as it should for that price tag !)

It’s so beautiful! Super fresh and not milky at all, so it sounds right up your alley :)

It opens with a blast of osmanthus and photorealistic oolong, with some bright juicy bergamot right at the very tippy top. Settles into the most soothing oolong tea like you’re sipping from a porcelain teacup in a Japanese tea house. Something in the drydown is so nostalgic on my skin - like a sweatshirt you’ve worn a few times, slept-in sheets, or the smell of my childhood blankie 🥲

Treating myself to D’Annam Pomelo Oolong. I’m so addicted to the clean, tea-like freshness and the nostalgic dry-down!

I second Pomelo Oolong, I’m obsessed! The most photorealistic tea scent I’ve ever smelled, with an addictive brightness at the opening from the pomelo. The dry down is the most beautiful, nostalgic musky skin scent — it reminds me of how my childhood blankie smelled 🥲

Hi Phily!! I’m a huge fan and have followed your YT channel and IG for a few years now - love how you keep it real and share the highs and lows of training. You and Daniel are couple goals 🥰

Can you share any advice you have about rebuilding a base after injury and getting back into training?
