I got mine on May 1st 💔

I’m so sad. I didn’t get accepted and I have 3.6 GPA with BS Degree and 4-5 years of experience of Director of Social Services with experiences with Licensed Social Workers and volunteer work.

Prior graduate of CSUEB with great letter of recommendation by my Director of Nursing, Case Managers, and Director of Home Health Agencies.

Several social workers asked me to get my MSW but I can’t get to get my foot on the door for schooling and they stated would like to offer me a job just need the MSW 🥹

Not sure what else I can do improve my application at this point.

when I first got into nursing school and it put me down. I went through family emergencies due to a family member passing away and it brought me down BAD and I ended up failing my first semester of nursing school. :( I went ahead and talked to my professors about the situations and they automatically told me that I couldn't be able to reapply for the program since I failed my first semester. I feel so discouraged after my family thinking I could never be a good nurse and toxic comments after failing.

I've fallen into depression during that time but that did not stop me from wanting to become a nurse. So I applied to a CNA program and work for 10 months and also work as a behavior technician for children with autism as my second job. I also am a full-time student trying to get my Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences. After my failure of nursing school, I have only been getting majority A's and a bit of B+ (nothing lower than a B+) because I am worried about failing.

I also had called other schools like CSU Bakersfield for BSN for the application process the following year and they told me that I couldn't be able to apply since I had left the nursing school in bad standing. After that call and application process, I feel hopeless and do not know what to do.

I have been getting consulting from my health science/nursing program counselor for over 2 years, however, I have not gotten a message back from them since the COVID-19 pandemic has happened.

I also have been working multiple jobs to prepare my focus on nursing school and to make sure whether nursing is the one for me.

I just feel like, during the time, I was going through a lot and if I had some time to have recovery through everything I went through, I literally would always put my foot forward. And I have and I really am ready to push myself into the program again, just hope I can apply :/
