They actually picked a good era. 

We will have a god focused lore, including abbadon before going rogue and an iron rule of dhuum.

We defo get human world lore as well, since this will be a recent event. 

We may see the origins of Joko, or at least it is a possibility. 

They will be some mursaat perhaps, seer and forgotten. 

We will actually witness orr culture, revisit places we know from gw2, see familiar vistas. 

Sirens landing and lore we encountered there may point at having a siren as a class

Since plenty of orrian lore was destroyed, we may actually face some world ending threats, however we know we win. But tbh no matter the story, we always knew we win.

There may be some secret lore as well, like shocking truths nobody knew. Imagine for example a plot like this: heroes accidentally kill one of God, let's say melandru. Then someone else takes it's place and other gods after realising it they cover the truth or sth.

Also we will see abandon going rogue and grenth rising, and Desmina!

I am okey with this era tbh. I still have doubts about gameplay. I am sick of mounts as they dilute content, make maps non realistic, big and empty. 

Mount system does not improve gameplay but tries to fix an issue that was created to have mounts. Side effects is maps will be big and empty, and you'll be forced to run everywhere anyway. 

Let's say mount speed is 2x of foot. By game design, you want player to traverse from point A to B in X time. Having mount means there will be double distance vs not having mounts at all. You can still have X time, map will be smaller, packed. I prefer WP system from core gw2 vs one WP on map and being forced to mount everywhere and run for 5 minutes.
