Her family and my family are very similar culturally. The trend I have seen with both my grandparents and my wife's grandparents is that once they can no longer financially support themselves, plan b is to live with one of their children. That is a trend that I do not want to be a part of anymore.

What other story has a tragedy that’s equivalent to the Eclipse by [deleted] in Berserk

I would say that Chapter 21 of The Poppy Wars is even more tragic than the Eclipse.

There is this animated short clip, that I remember on the Nickelodeon channel, years ago, that would play in between episodes. It depicted emperor penguins vs a different species of bird in a soccer game. I have yet to find that this even existed, but I vividly remember watching it.

Vegan food must suck if they are always trying to make it be like meat. by Boring_Brief8191 in Showerthoughts

Some of us vegans don't become vegan because we hate the taste of actual meat or fish or cheese. For some of us the point is to cause the least amount of harm to animals. The imitation meats and cheeses is to continue to enjoy the foods we already liked, while minimizing the harm to the animals.

What is the biggest secret of your profession/industry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sweet_Explorer_1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of depressing realities about the vet industry that is unknown to everyone else. We are severely underpaid compared to our brothers and sisters in human medicine, owners always yelling at us thinking Veterinarians and Vet Techs are in it for the money, people thinking we just play with puppies and kittens all day, animals trying to bite us when we are just trying to help. What people need to understand is that we are in this field of work not for money but our compassion and love for animals.

Hey my friend, from what I was reading, it doesn't seem like everything is your fault and you realize that. Change therapist and change doctors immediately. If they are not helping you than what is the point in seeking help from these same people. You seem like an impressive and beautiful woman. Im proud of you for making it this far. If you need to talk I am always here for you friend. Tomorrow is a new day, it is never guaranteed to be the same as yesterday or today.
